This review is for the ASF-10G-T (30 meter). I am using this with a Ubiquity Unifi Dream Machine Pro (UDM-Pro). Not getting full speed but I am limited by my SSD on my server. Getting 5927.12 Mbps down and 6894.6 Mbps up from my PC to Server (Picture Posted). I have read some reviews of this not working with the UDM-Pro. One review specified that the UDM-Pro was connected to an At&t router that has a 5 Gbps port and was not getting 5 Gbe speeds. This transceiver does not work at 5 Gbe speeds only 1 Gbe or 10 GBe. There are other transceivers that work at 1/2.5/5/10 speeds but are more expensive. Other reasons why some people are not getting it to show up as a 10Gbe connection is they may be using too long of a cable. I first hooked it up with a 100ft cable because I didn't have any cables in between 25ft and 100ft, I needed 30Ft. the 25ft cable I had did work the 100ft cable did not. 30 meters is 98.4252 feet who knew, so when they say 30 meters they mean 30 meters.

Besides the fact that this these transceivers have worked great since I bought them, what sets this manufacturer apart from the rest is customer service that has gone above and beyond all expectations. One of the transceivers I bought almost five years ago failed last month. So I contacted customer service. I thought the warranty was five years but it is three years. My mistake. I did not expect the manufacturer to replace it out of warranty. However, they are so interested in producing the best possible quality product, they asked me all about the circumstances of use and failure. I answered all their questions and, very generously, they decided to replace it anyway. You just don’t get this kind of superior customer service anymore. If you need transceivers, or other fiber optic supplies, like patch cables, this is the only company from which you should purchase. Thank you, 10-Gtek!

While I do enjoy their DACs and fiber modules this didnt give me full 10baseT. I ended up trying to play around with it but ultimately went with a Wiitek that just worked out of the box.

Runs significantly cooler than previous versions. Also supports other speeds outside of just 10G.

So far, these units have worked perfectly. I was a little nervous because of the price but at the time I needed these transceivers quickly and had no time to wait for ones that cost 5 times as much. I plugged them in, VMWare sees them, and my switch negotiated speed, and all is good. Great buy

I just plugged it in, added an RJ-45 patch cable and it worked just fine. These adapters get quite warm, so i stuck a small, very low power, fan to my switch, directly blowing on this Transceiver - problem solved.
