Click to play video I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews - those folks are doing it wrong. In our modern "push a button and forget" society, we think that everything should be 100% automated. If you want that, buy the $500 incubator. This one is pretty simple but is easy to control the temperature and humidity with great accuracy. Is your temperature all over the place as some reviewers are writing? SEND IT BACK and get another one. Amazon has a 30 day return window - send it back! Upwards of 10% of ALL products out of China have poor quality control. Your;s is broken? Don't cry, send it back and get one from the 90% that work. Better yet, order a new one today and when it arrives, then send back the broken one. Get a thermometer and check the internal temperature (I used the laser thermometer). Is your incubator temperature off? Then adjust the temp up or down until the verified thermometer reads the correct temperature. For the humidity control - you simply have to upside down water beakers that introduce water to the incubator. More water = more humidity. There is also a little vent at the top; closed = less humidity, open = less humidity. Use the vent and water level to control your humidity. I read some reviews that said no matter what, their incubator was too dry - perhaps they live in an arid environment (Arizona comes to mind) - put a bit of painters tape around the base where the glass connects to the base to help hold in some of the humidity. Other reviewers said too much humidity - one reviewer said they put the lid on crooked and it landed right on the correct humidity. Correct answer! If yours is too humid, put a toothpick between the base and the glass to let some humidity out. Still too humid? Add another toothpick to the other side - work it until you get the humidity you need. We fiddled with the water and found our humidity point. We need to add just a little water every day but that's the price for the budget appliance. Our temperature read close to the laser so we're good there. All of the other features work well, the egg rotator is nice and slow, tumbles the eggs gently. For the price, we're quite pleased. We add eggs as we find them, I'm buying a 2nd to use when the eggs get to their final days so that I can have eggs of multiple dates in the primary machine and those in their final days are moved to the 2nd machine.

This was my first time trying to hatch chicken eggs. I spent a while looking at incubators before settling on this one and I am very happy with my purchase. The incubator is VERY well made and the instruction booklet is one the best I've read. I did have to keep the incubator in an ice chest due to the ambient temperature in the house but the device kept the proper temp, turning, and humidity like a pro. The fact that it holds 12 eggs was a bonus as well. The baby chicks are now about 10 days old and so cute. I would HIGHLY recommend this brand of incubator to anyone who wants to try and hatch chickens.

This incubator works amazing! Everything about it is simple and easy to use. The display is readable and the LED light for the candling is superb. The humidity works and does everything for you, all you have to do is candle and prep for your chicks to hatch. Highly recommend and worth the money.

I ordered this incubator for use in my classroom with my students. I love the ease of setup but the best part of this incubator are the water bottles to adjust the humidity without me having to worry if I remembered to do it. Before I was having to take my incubator home on the weekends so that I could monitor them but with this incubator it turns itself and adds it's own water so I no longer have to risk transport back and forth on my eggs. It comes with everything you need to incubate either 8 eggs or up to 18. The inside has protection so that after your baby chicks hatch while they're drying out they can't get hurt. The last incubator I used had a hole in the center and one of my chicks got stuck and drown. It also came with great instructions of what to look for when you candle your eggs. Overall we are extremely happy and it was definitely worth the investment in a quality incubator for my future chicks.

This is a great incubator at an excellent price! Very easy to use, and has everything you need for hatching. Clear instructions, and excellent customer service. I am new to hatching, and my first eggs were very dark brown (Black Copper Marans), for which I was advised to use a dry hatching method for the first 18 days, meaning no added water. This resulted in the humidity alarm going off every 2 hours since humidity had to be below 40%. We kept the incubator in a secluded room, so the alarm was not a problem. Plus, I will need to increase humidity to over 50% during the last 3 days, so will use both water bottles to adjust accordingly. I also plan to use this incubator for all of my other (non-Marans) hatches, so the alarm will actually help to alert if humidity gets too low. Customer service was immediately responsive to my Qs. I especially like the way the egg turner rotates in a circle to fully turn the eggs unlike other incubators in this price range that only rock the eggs back and forth. 14/18 eggs candled viable so far at day 8; 5 stars if most hatch!

This is a nice affordable incubator. I would recommend this set up to anyone starting hatching eggs. It comes with an insert for larger eggs such as duck or emu, and smaller insert for quail and chicken eggs, etc. humidity stays within the unit nicely. The turning feature is nice. Temperature is steady. No problems at all and it was very easy to set up. Be sure to read tips, tricks and procedures to make sure your process is smooth when hatching. the manual provided gives you tips and tricks on how to adjust things in case you need to fine tune the humidity or the temperature.

This is perfect for what I want it for. Not hatched anything in it yet. Eggs will be going in this week. It was super easy to set up using the instructions and even came with a brilliant hatching guide, telling you everything you needed to know. I was especially delighted with the candling torch and spray bottle that was included. Looking forward to seeing the results!

Stooped working after 16 days, and I lost all but 3 eggs. Up until that point I was relatively impressed. The humidity is sooo high and that is an issue. Cheap. Save up and buy a proper one.

Click to play video Well, it’s hatch day. So far 6/12 have hatched and we still have time left on the clock. I call that a success. The egg turner worked just fine. I was worried after reading reviews from this and other incubators that the turner would stop working or that it wouldn’t hold the right heat/humidity. I did not buy any additional humidity or temperature readers, I relied entirely on the system. I set it to 100, filled the bottles as instructed (bottle 1 only until day 18, then both) and we have chicks! My only concern is that there really isn’t much space for the chicks to move around but they’re only in there for up to 24 hours so It’s not a huge issue. I’m impressed for the price. I assume you can update reviews, and so long as I can, I’ll update when/if it ever breaks on me (or if more chicks hatch) but for now, the first hatch is a success!
