Update: After about two weeks the laptop begin having an annoying and problematic "flash" that occurred intermittently. I got with the Nimo folks via their chat and they said to return the laptop and a credit would be given after 3 days post return. It's now 7 days after the confirmed UPS return and no credit yet. Two days ago Nimo support said they would escalate my return request and I would hear back in 48 hours. It's now 48 hours later and their support is closed for the night. No credit given yet. So --- I think this has the potential to be a decent computer at the $299.00 price point, but support seems to be lacking and the issue I had developed awfully soon after purchase. My seven year old HP Envy laptop has been making some strange noises and doing some other things that make me think it might be on it's way out. So, I set off looking for a new laptop to take it's place I have been using a 15.6 inch laptop for many years, and tried out a couple of 14 inch units, but they were too small for my liking. My current computer was also a 2 in 1 touch screen that could be used as a tablet, but in seven years I had never used it in the tablet configuration and probably only used the touch screen for a hundred touches or so in that time frame. I finally decided I did not want a smaller unit than 15.6 inches and that having a touch screen was useless for my situation. After looking at hundreds of computers I settled on the Nimo 15.6 with 1TB SSD and 16MB ram. I read some reviews, thought the startup company was kind of cool, and loved the Nimo fish lighted logo on the front of the computer. Here's the things I love about the computer. 1. Packed well and shipped fast 2. Lighted keyboard, which was an essential feature for me 3. Great feel to the keyboard. Quiet and types solidly. 4. Choice of colors. I chose the Space Grey and it's nice looking. 5. USB C power source 6. Windows 11 Home preinstalled 7. Very little bloatware 8. Beautiful anti glare screen with full HD Is this the fastest computer I tested? Nope, but it didn't cost $700.00 either. I thought the Amazon price of $299.00 was an absolute steal for this computer. Best value laptop I have purchased so far, and this is laptop #4 for me. I can't attest to the durability of the Nimo computer, but they have a two year warranty (best in the industry that I could tell) and I am hoping to not have to use it. So -- if you need a basic, quick, non-touchscreen laptop at 15.6 inches I feel this is the best bargain on the block.

The 15.6-FHD Laptop you're looking at seems to be a well-rounded option for students or professionals looking for a versatile laptop with a focus on performance and modern features. The Pentium N100 is a low-power processor but still capable of handling everyday tasks like web browsing, document editing, and light multitasking. It won't be ideal for heavy gaming or intensive tasks, but for students or business users, it should suffice. This is excellent for multitasking, running multiple browser tabs, and using apps like Microsoft Office, light photo editing, or even some casual gaming. Most budget laptops typically come with 4GB or 8GB RAM, so 16GB is a strong point here. Great for working in dim environments, such as libraries or late-night study sessions. A feature often seen in higher-end models, so it adds some premium feel. Added security is always a plus, and the fingerprint scanner makes logging in quicker and more secure. This is a major win for a laptop at this price range. An SSD is much faster than a traditional HDD, so you’ll notice quick boot times, fast app loading, and overall system responsiveness. Plus, 1TB of storage offers plenty of space for documents, videos, and large files. This 15.6-FHD Laptop appears to be a solid choice for students or business professionals who need a reliable, affordable device for everyday tasks. It has ample RAM, decent storage, and modern connectivity options, making it great for general productivity, light media consumption, and occasional entertainment. However, if you need something for intensive tasks like video editing, gaming, or heavy multitasking, you might want to look for something with a more powerful processor and dedicated graphics.

I have had it for a couple of weeks now. It came well enough packaged. I did charge it fully before setting it up. It took a good hour or so to jump through all the hoops to get it working (not too unusual for a new computer, I think), and it took a couple of days to finally get all the kinks ironed out and for it to be totally reliable and working. Now it seems to work just fine, and it boots up almost instantly. My couple of complaints are: 1: The charging block is pretty large, and the plug blades are positioned in such a way that on a plug strip, you either cover two slots, or you must use the end of the strip. I wish they had rotated the blades 90*. It would take up less space on a strip. Minor complaint, but still... 2: The keyboard is lighted, which is nice. But the lights go out within a few seconds. I wish there was a way to make them stay on longer. 3: It runs a bit hot, so I try to use it on some sort of flat surface so the vent on the bottom can be clear. I think there may be a fan in there somewhere. Again, a minor complaint, Heat happens, and you gotta get rid of it 4: My biggest wish is that it had louder speakers. The speakers face towards the side and bottom, and are not very loud at all. More volume would be wonderful! That would be my one thing I'd really like them to work on. It is usable, but weak. On the other hand, the computer is large (and a bit heavier than I expected) so those little speakers are on each end, and provide wonderful stereo separation. I do enjoy having it on my lap and listening to some music videos on it. I just wish it had more volume. So, the complaints aside, I think it is a good buy, and the price was very good. For what it is, I could not come close anywhere else, and especially looking in some of the local brick and mortar stores. I ordered it one day, and had it in hand the next, so good and quick delivery. Would I buy it again? So far, yes indeed. It does exactly what I wanted it for. I don't do online gaming, so can't speak about that, but don't care anyway. I would recommend it to anyone else wanting a low price but functional computer. Two things I was looking for when I was shopping, was a solid state drive, and 1T of size, which this model has, so that was one of the selling points as well.
