The overall performance of this is A-1. The color is a beautiful purple color. Once i connect my ego battery to it- I've got days of power. Now I plugged in my phone and was able to charge it while also using it to power my umbrella lights. I had them in and working for about 4 hours. This is not solar, It will not work without the ego battery for power! However it is pretty cool to be able to use my lawn mower/weed wacker/airblower batteries- to watch my echo21 outdoors! There's a regular plug, and also a USB Plug, but also a "C" port . I think this is totally worth it for the price, and if you dont have the EGO battery- go look at the pricing for one before buying this. They are, and can get pretty expensive -depending on the one you want. All in all, this was totally worth the hype!

This little inverter is a lifesaver! I've got an EGO battery system and needed a reliable way to power some things around the house during power outages and while camping. This unit is surprisingly powerful for its size – easily handles my laptop and phone chargers with no problem. The multiple ports (AC, USB-A, and USB-C) are super convenient; I can charge everything at once. Setup was a breeze, just plug and play. It's quiet enough that I don't notice it running, even inside the RV. The build quality seems solid – definitely feels durable enough to withstand the bumps and jostles of travel. It's small enough to toss in the camping gear without taking up too much space. One minor thing: the indicator lights aren't super bright, so checking the battery level in low light might be a little tough. Otherwise, it's a fantastic little device for anyone who needs portable power from their EGO batteries. Highly recommend it for anyone with a similar setup or who needs power during a power outage.

I really wanted to like this inverter as I have quite a few ego batteries but it just doesn't work well enough to be happy spending almost 60 dollars on it. It doesn't always stay connected to the battery when I have it in the bottom of our stroller. It also doesn't power up a whole lot there than charging a phone and a few other battery powered devices. It works well for providing a charge to our portable fan that we use for our daughter.

Since I have a couple of EGO batteries for my lawn equipment, I thought this would be a great supplement when I need AC power in the yard without having to run a long extension cord. Unfortunately, the performance isn’t quite what I expected. For testing I used both LED and incandescent light bulbs. While it delivers a 3-step waveform instead of a sine wave, it seemed to work OK with the 120V LED bulbs. With no load or just LED bulbs it delivers about 110V. Its output voltage drops to just over 105V near its 150W rating. Other inverters I have tested increase the duty cycle of the tri-state waveform as load increases to maintain the output voltage, but I didn’t see any significant change with this one between a zero and a 144W load. That brings up its output rating. While it worked fine with the LED bulbs, it does not like incandescent bulbs. To verify its 150W rating, I first tested with a pair of 75W incandescent bulbs. It would power one, but when I switched on the second bulb it shut down and its output became just a series of narrow pulses as it was trying to start up. Incandescent bulbs have a lower resistance when first switched on, so this inverter apparently has no start-up surge capability. So I downsized to a pair of 65W incandescent bulbs. Again, it would power one but not two. The photo shows my power meter indicating the 65W incandescent bulb was only pulling 51.4W due to the output being just 108V. So the two bulbs would have pulled 103W if it could have started the second one. And it shut down three times while powering just the single 65W bulb. (The battery had just been fully recharged.) Most inverters have a start-up surge rating that is at least double their continuous run rating. At twice the regular retail price of this one, EGO’s 400W inverter delivers “400W continuous power with 800W peak power for devices needing additional ramp-up power”. Since this apparently has no surge capability, I tested again with purely resistive loads. I first tried 89 ohms, which would have been just over 135W if it could hold 110V. The voltage dropped to 105.6V, reducing the load to 126W. So I reduced the load to 78 ohms. That reduced its output to just 105.2V at a load of 144W. I didn’t bother to further zero in on exactly 150W or see what happens just beyond that, but it appears this will deliver 150W into a purely resistive load. I then tested the USB-A and USB-C outputs that can be used to power and charge USB powered devices. My cellphone indicated it was charging on both USB outlets, and it indicated rapid charge when plugged into the USB-C outlet. I checked power draw on the AC powered tools I use outside, and all except the soldering iron would be in excess of the rating for this inverter. So this will be handy the next time I need the soldering iron out there. I think the best application for this 150W inverter would be to provide portable power during a camping trip. Its USB outputs can recharge cellphones and provide power for other USB devices. And it can provide a lot of temporary light using LED light bulbs. But this is not for powering most 120VAC power tools.

It's great in that it fits my lawn mower batteries. However, it can't charge much or for very long without shutting off. I wish I knew why, because this looked like a great thing to have if you already have the battery. The instructions don't tell you what it means when the power button changes from green to red. Is it overheating? I plugged a device into the 110v outlet and the USB-A outlet at the same time, was that the problem? Nothing in the instructions and no idiot lights on the device that could be labeled and give me a clue as to why the device has shut down. So overall it did not work well and I don't know why.

I love this inverter. I didn't even know this thing existed, but I do a lot of truck camping and having some extra juice available is always nice. I am already in the Ego ecosystem and this makes using those batteries so easy. I used this to keep a charge in my phone and tablet and even ran a CPAP off of it for a night. The other cool thing is this ran my Eco-Flow Glacier fridge for about 4 hours and still had some charge left. My fridge came with a battery and another spare battery is about the same as a new Ego battery. Now I can just use my Ego battery as a secondary backup. I have plugged in string lights, lamps, fans and all kinds of other camping stuff into it and it all runs great from this.
