When I first pulled these little earrings out of the packaging, my first impression was oh my gosh, how tiny are these earrings. However, after taking them out of the packaging and looking at them closely, I realized they are perfect for my second hole on my ear. I purchased the 6 mm size and they are probably the width of my pinky finger nail. They fit snugly on my second hole, which is good, because I hate catching things , like a winter hat, on my earrings. I have included a picture of how closely they fit on that part of my ear. The earrings come well packaged in a little silicone pocket with an antiseptic pad (pictured). Because they are so tiny in the 6mm size, the little opal jewels on the side of them can hardly be seen, unfortunately. I wish I had thought of that when ordering them. Just a hazard of ordering such tiny hoops I guess. Overall, they seem well-made, and I like how they open and close on a hinge for ease of getting them in. The true test will be if they break me out after a few days of wear or if the jewel settings catch on anything like my hat or hood. I will update my review as needed. Overall, four out of five stars. UPDATED: I have worn these earrings three times since receiving them. They don't break me out, but because they fit so tightly in my second hole they do tend to irritate my skin a bit on the outer area and turn it red by the end of the day. I'll still wear them, though, as they work well and don't fall out.

size wise these are perfect for what I was looking for. They are easy to open and close, and stay in without opening randomly and falling out. But these do not look as shiny as pictured. In real life the opal looks dull and so does the steel.

These are cute small hoops with a little bit of extra bling provided by the opal detail. The measurements provided are accurate; the interior of the hoop is 10mm, big enough to fit the first hole in my ears. The hinge makes them super easy to put in and is almost invisible once closed. I really like that these are made out of surgical steel rather than silver or a plated cheaper metal; silver always seems to tarnish eventually, and finishes wear off of cheaper metals. One of the earrings is just a little more difficult to close than the other because the post is bent a little too far upwards. The product images indicate that they can be "adjusted" up or down, but I think they just mean you can use needle nose pliers to bend them more or less. They came packaged inside a tiny plastic bag inside a larger, thicker plastic (nice enough to be reusable if you need a bag that size) along with a alcohol pad for disinfection use. I can't say I've ever gotten an alcohol pad with earrings before, so that's a bit weird.

The opals are really small and not great quality. They barely have any irridecence to them and end up looking just kinda gray. Its hard to tell there are even stones. The earrings themselves are comfortable once you manage to get them snapped into place. Just not really anything spectacular.

These earrings are very nice and well made. The opal stones are very small but still have a nice brilliance to them. They are easy to put on and close. They are light weight after a while you donโt even feel you are wearing them. Would make a great gift for anyone. Highly recommend.
