The obverse of this round features an intricately detailed scene with Santa Claus reading letters from children all over the world. Santa can be found sitting in his wing-backed chair holding his hot coffee in one hand and a letter in the other sitting in front of a warm fire. The scene includes a fireplace mantel decorated with candles, a Christmas wreath and garland along with poinsettias, gifts and a small tree surrounding Santa on the floor.
The reverse features our standard Christmas back dated "2024" along with the weight and purity designation.
The area designated for engraving is framed in a classic candy cane border with traditional holly and berries centered at the top.
Comes in Air-Tite Ornament Capsule with Red Felt Lined Ring.

I have a habit of giving these to my friends and family when they have a newborn. I think it would have been neat to have a set from my own birth year and so I started doing this years ago. Everyone else seems to give clothes, which are of course, helpful. But this seems to be well received and appreciated, more so by Dads in my experience. (I'm a dad). For my special relatives (brother's child and my own child) I bought them the one ounce gold coin for that year. That is a little pricey, but I think it will be appreciated. These proof sets certainly sparkle and I think they are not too expensive.
