· Proof Coins Are the finest quality of coin produced by the United States Mint. The term "proof" refers to the coin's finish. Proof blanks are specially treated, hand-polished, and cleaned to ensure high-quality strikes. The blanks are then fed into presses fitted with specially polished dies and struck at least twice. The coins are then carefully packaged to showcase and preserve their exceptional finish. · Each coin bears the “W” mint mark reflecting its striking at the West Point Mint · The coin is encapsulated then placed in a stylish clamshell and elegant black presentation box. The box is adorned with the official United States Mint seal, with an outer sleeve incorporating an image of the obverse coin design. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity bearing an image of the obvers · The classic Walking Liberty design by Adolph A. Weinman featured on the coin’s obverse (heads) has long been a collector favorite. It depicts Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. The United States Mint returned to its original historical assets to render a closer reflection of Weinman’s original version and detail that include the addition of his traditional artist mark. Inscriptions are “LIBERTY,” “2024, · These coins Are struck at least twice, which gives the coin a frosted, sculpted foreground for a glamorous shine; defined, intricate design; and mirror-like background.

The obverse of this round features an intricately detailed scene with Santa Claus reading letters from children all over the world. Santa can be found sitting in his wing-backed chair holding his hot coffee in one hand and a letter in the other sitting in front of a warm fire. The scene includes a fireplace mantel decorated with candles, a Christmas wreath and garland along with poinsettias, gifts and a small tree surrounding Santa on the floor.
The reverse features our standard Christmas back dated "2024" along with the weight and purity designation.
The area designated for engraving is framed in a classic candy cane border with traditional holly and berries centered at the top.

If you collect these, you know what you are getting. For 2024, the price has gone up, but they have also gone back to including a nice case. Last year the bottom half of the box was the case, where previous years had a velvet case inside. Now its a black, leather feel case, but still nicer than just the box.
