This is exactly what I needed for my hp laptop, thanks to the description I was able to locate what I was looking for. It came safely secure in a box nicely tied up. This charger and cable have given my HP laptop from approximately 2017 a new lease on life. I was careful to check the voltage (19.5V) based on the label on the back of my computer, and it was a perfect match. This HP laptop charging cord looks extremely similar to the original HP cord that came with my laptop, and all the electrical specifications shown on this one match my original HP cord. It successfully charged my laptop today, which is perfect. I wanted one cord to keep at home and then one cord to travel with. In the photos, you can see this new cord, plus I took a photo of the old/original HP specifications alongside the specifications for this cord. Overall, I'm very happy with this cable!

The standard 4.5 mm barrel blue-tip adapter for this charger will work on many HP or compatible computers. The power output is 19.5 volts and the amp is only 2.3. The charger is 45w. I am using it on my HP 840 G9 Elitebook with a 4.5 mm to USB C converter dongle. While the 2.3 amp and 45w are lower than the recommended 3.3 amp and 65w for the G9 voltage of 19.5v is the same - the charger works great. The cord is long enough to conveniently find an outlet. Good price and seems well made.

Works exactly as expected to charge my laptop, fast and easy. Make sure you check your connector type, as there are many chargers with a similar shape and size for laptops that aren't exactly the same.
