We have had 2 of these controllers for a little over a month and one of them just up and died. I went to 8BitDo's website and contacted support. They replied within a day and asked for a short video showing the problem. Again, within a day they sent me the zip file for a firmware update. And voila! It works! I was about to just leave a negative review, but decided to give them a chance to correct it and I'm glad I did! This is a great company with quick and friendly customer service! All 5 Stars!!!

Been using it for a month now, and I love it! The only thing I don't like is how easily the texture on the shell and thumbstick absorbs grime from my hands and sweat, but it's a good trade-off for great grip. It's just going to be a pain to clean. But I don't have any stick drift yet, and it connects to my switch and laptop easily. I like the turbo function too.

The 8BitDo 2C blew me away for its size and price. Connectivity is super smooth—it paired instantly with my PC, Switch, and even worked with my Android phone over USB-C. I really appreciate that it has a USB-C port rather than micro-USB, which feels more modern and convenient. The design is slick, and the holographic effect on the joysticks is just awesome. It’s subtle but really adds a premium feel. For a compact controller, it’s surprisingly comfortable, and everything feels tight and responsive. Definitely a win for anyone looking for a versatile, stylish, and portable controller.

I’ve been using the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller (Blue) for a few weeks now, and overall, it’s an excellent piece of hardware. The build quality feels solid and premium, especially for the price. The buttons, refined D-pad, and hall effect joysticks are super responsive, and the 6-axis motion control and rumble work seamlessly with the Switch. One of the biggest positives for me has been the battery life—it lasts much longer than I expected on a single charge. I can game for days without needing to plug it in, which is a huge plus. That said, the one downside is the texture of the outer shell. It’s not uncomfortable, but it does feel a bit slick, especially during long sessions. I really wish 8BitDo offered a silicone sleeve or grip cover to improve the tactile feel and help with grip. It would make the controller perfect. All in all, it’s a great controller with impressive performance and endurance, especially at this price point. With just a bit of added attention to ergonomics or accessories, it would be unbeatable.

I have two of these. They are my favorite for the Switch unless I am playing a platformer...then I use a different 8bit controller, which I will also give 5 stars for. It holds a charge great...I've played all day on a charge. I'm not a "gamer"...I get on a kick and play for days then go for weeks without playing and this has been ready to go even when not on the charger. I have bought some cheapy controllers in the past and their poor performance and difficulty in connecting really ruined the experience. The 8bit connects without any issues. Note that I did have an issue on a different unit but once I read the instructions, I realized it was me. Read the instructions! These make it a joy to play and much better than the joy cons that come on the Switch. Note that these work on other than the Switch and I briefly used them on my PC but I don't game that way, typically.

One and only missing thing is nfc for amiibos. I did like this controller better than pro controller from Nintendo, and better than Joy-Cons with drifting “effect”

I've had this controller for over a year at this point. I've read countless negative reviews regarding a number of issues. I haven't had many issues with this controller. I bought two because the price couldn't be beat. My hands are big, but the controller fits comfortably in my hand. I've used this controller to play a number of games, Super Smash Bros., Monster Hunter Rise/World. These are fairly intensive games on the controller, yet I haven't had the sticks break, and I've been able to play for as many hours when it's fully charged. The bluetooth connected great on my PC, and it was a bit confusing to connect on my switch but that was user error. I've kept the charging cable it came it, and it probably came with the controller because it should be used for it specifically. Over a year, and still no complaints. It's cheap, slightly cheap feel, but the connection is great both on Switch and PC. Would buy another or a better controller from 8bitdo.

Excellent product. I like to find things that have all the bells and whistles that I'm looking for, then never use them at all. This is a solid controller. Never will I use the extra buttons, but I appreciate that they're there. Hall Effect sticks. Regular Triggers. My only qualm is that it cannot wake my Switch by itself.

Great quality and feels premium in my hands. I was expecting it to feel cheaper but it is a nice alternative to the Nintendo controllers if you want to play on your TV.

I like plastic quality. Buttons works good and it connects to my switch fast.

Let’s be honest—Joy-Cons are cute until they start drifting like they’re hydroplaning on Rainbow Road. I grabbed the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C and haven’t looked back. It’s smooth, solid, and straight-up stylish. The hall effect sticks are a game-changer—no drift, just precision. The battery life feels endless, the motion controls are tight, and it even has wake-on-shake. Yes, you can literally shake your Switch awake. Magic. Extra bumpers, turbo mode, USB-C charging—it’s basically a Pro Controller in pastel disguise. My Joy-Cons now live in a drawer of shame.
