The Official Red Book, also known as A Guide Book of United States Coins, is an unbeatable resource for any coin collector. As an avid coin collector myself, I have found this book to be an essential tool for staying up-to-date on the latest prices, values, and information about United States coins. The 2025 78th edition of the Red Book is a must-have for any serious coin collector. It is incredibly comprehensive, covering coins from the colonial era to modern times. The book includes information on all types of coins, from regular-issue circulation coins to proof and commemorative coins. No matter what type of coins you collect, this book has you covered. One of the things I appreciate most about the Red Book is its user-friendly layout. The book is organized in a logical and easy-to-follow manner, making it simple to find the information you need. Each section includes high-resolution images, detailed descriptions, mintage numbers, and current market values. The values are updated annually, ensuring that you are getting the most accurate and up-to-date information. Another standout feature of the Red Book is its historical background and context. Each coin's history is outlined, providing valuable insight into the design, production, and significance of each coin. This background information not only enhances the appreciation and understanding of the coins but also adds a new level of enjoyment to the collecting process. In addition to its comprehensive coverage of coins, the Red Book also includes a wealth of information on collecting and grading coins, as well as tips for buying and selling. This makes the book a valuable resource for both new and experienced collectors. In conclusion, I highly recommend the Official Red Book, A Guide Book of United States Coins 2025 78th edition, to any coin collector. Its comprehensive coverage, user-friendly layout, accurate values, and historical context make it an essential tool for anyone interested in the world of United States coins. This book is a must-have for every collector's library and will undoubtedly enhance your collecting experience.

I recently purchased the “A Guide Book of United States Coins 2025 ‘Redbook’ Large Print” and I must say, it’s an absolute treasure for any coin collector. The large print edition is a delight, making it easy to read and understand. The book covers a wide range of topics, from foreign coins used in the British American colonies in the 1600s and 1700s, to early copper colonial tokens, to popular classics like Buffalo nickels, hefty silver dollars, and beautiful gold coins. It also includes modern circulating coins, commemoratives, and bullion coins like the American Silver and Gold Eagles. What sets this guide apart is its comprehensive approach. It provides grade-by-grade values, history, detailed specifications, sharp full-color photographs, accurate mintage data, auction records, and other valuable information1. The book answers questions like, “What is this old coin?” or “How rare are my coins?” and “How much is my coin worth?”. The author, Jeff Garrett, has done a commendable job in making the book both informative and engaging1. The book also includes articles on investing, grading coins, and detecting counterfeits, making you a savvy collector3. The entertaining essays on the history of American coinage and the modern rare-coin market give you an inside look at “the hobby of kings.” In conclusion, whether you’re a novice or an experienced collector, this guide is a valuable addition to your library. It’s not just a price guide, it’s a comprehensive resource that enriches your understanding of U.S. coins and enhances your coin collecting journey

OK, I bought my first Red Book back in 1964, so it should be evident I am not young. Over the years, I have added many Red Books to my collection to keep up on newly issued coins as well as the value trends of older ones. People will make comments about the values listed in the book not being accurate and to a degree, they are right. Values are based upon what someone is willing to pay for something, and that can literally change daily. So the values in the book should be looked upon as a guide, not as holy scripture. But everything else about the book IS HOLY SCRIPTURE, including the history of various issues and the production figures telling us the number of each coin made. The Red Book is THE definitive source for this information and is thus a must have for young collectors and old alike. This large print edition is aimed at those older collectors (like me) to make reading easier and more enjoyable, but in reality, probably younger users will enjoy the format as well. The spiral binding allows the book to lay flat, which is also a benefit for users. And the larger photos are pleasing to all eyes. In summation, if you want to learn about the fascinating history of US coinage, look at the numerous types, denominations and variations in US currency, or just look up coins in general, either from Grandpa's collection or your own pocket change, the Red Book is the one book you need. And the larger edition simply super-sizes and enhances your enjoyment.

It’s handy to go to kind of book. Lots of info sometimes it’s confusing but maybe I’m slow… The book is pretty and feels like a well made spiral one. Waterproof. I like that it’s small enough to fit in a bag or backpack. I heard it was a good book to have so I got it.

Nothing, this is the "Gold Standard", of coin value books. Every collector should have this at least this book as there "BIBLE", to reference all their coins. It is easy easy to read, the pictures are great, but it doesn't show Values up to tpS 70. Other that, fantastic book.
