I've been looking for a camera that can survive a bit more cold than the GoPro 12 Black, and much hasn't changed with the 13. I loved the Gopro app, but the camera would always shut down when skiing. I tried the DJI Osmo action 4 but didn't care much for the app. Insta-360... not so much. And the value, again it just isn't there. I never gave much attention to these "budget" cameras like the Akaso, but when I saw this Brave 7 being compared to the Gopro And DJI on Youtube at nearly half the cost on sale, I thought I may as well give it a try. And mind you, I was extremely skeptical. I have always thought you get what you pay for in electronics but guess what, I was wrong. This little piece of equipment is not only robust, but it actually stays on while skiing. Didn't turn off once unless I turned it on and off myself. I didn't try and tuck it away like with the Gopro, worrying that it would get frostbite, lol. This little gem stayed lit the whole day. All I did was change batteries and gave it voice commands, which by the way never failed. And the app??? I'm no tech genius but it's very intuitive and I have had no problems navigating it. Picture quality is right on par with the other 2 as well. This thing is solid, with a hefty, robust build quality that really made me think I had made the right choice. And so far, so good. My only concern is this. What was I thinking by limiting myself to two of the top brands when this little guy is right on par with them and costs $250 less. Out the door cost = $179.99, and that included two batteries and many accessories you don't get with the other two. I feel strongly that this camera is going to fit my needs nicely at a price that's well, quite astonishing if you ask me. It's a real value and given a chance, I think you will come to that conclusion as well. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

This product is very great! The size is portable, and the accessories they come with are long enough to last you about a year. You can mount the camera anywhere using the included accessories, and the camera functions like a high quality one. The only thing is, I had to reach out to customer service once about the frame, but they took the steps to reach out to me and they are really nice. Great!

Have used it several times now and used the cables provided to transfer the photos and videos to my PC. Everything gets easier with repetition. Any frustrations this 66-year-old had were easily solved with a google search and plenty of help videos on-line. It is pretty amazing how clear and in focus the photos are. I can easily zoom in for details when viewing those photos. The basic 128gb Memory Card I bought has been more than enough to last between downloads. My setup took some time. I had to move a few thinks on the already crowded handlebars so I could place the Camera, see my bike's GPS/Computer, Phone and still reach the bell. I loaded the Ap on my Phone and using the Wi-Fi controlled the camera and used it to view or preview the camera's images and choose between 'photo' or 'video'. The AP will let you know when the battery is running low so you can stop and swap in a fresh one before it has to drop out the Wi-Fi. Plan on about 30 minutes unless you have upgraded batteries. Mounting on the handlebar was so much better that the helmet and it goes unnoticed. When it was on my helmet, everyone looked at me and asked questions about it (I felt like a roving reporter, luckily the AP allowed me to stop the video). FYI: if you are mounting to a Road Bike with thicker handlebars .... what I did was, separate the plastic covers from 2 of the longer screws, then cut about 1/4" off of the tips of the plastic, slide the covers back on and now those screws were effectively 1/4" longer, which allowed me to fasten the mounting to the handlebars. Have fun and keep playing with it, Here is what I shared after the very first use: Used it just once. Haven't off-loaded or uploaded the first set of videos yet. Hoping that that is easy. There are 3 different cable connections. The only cable provided (correction, all the cables were there) was for charging the Batteries which each only lasted for 30 minutes of video so I expect I will be getting emails about buying higher capacity batteries. There is a connection to the camera for a USB-C cable and another connection on the remote that matched my old phone's cable, so I used that (the cables were all in the package, I was just overwhelmed with so many parts and cables). There are 7 mount options and several straps. It would have been nice if the bicycle connection could handle the thicker handlebars of my road bike (solved this one, see above), so I strapped it on my helmet instead. I used the AKASO AP on my phone and with a handlebar mount for the phone I was able to control the camera that way. Could not yet figure out how to set it up to take a photo every 3, 5 or 10 seconds. The instructions appear pretty spare. Perhaps YouTube or the AKASO AP will help me get there. Why am I giving feedback so early? I just registered the warranty, and it asked me to share my thoughts now. Hope that I'll learn a lot in the next few weeks and remember to come back here and updating my review. By the way, this unit (Brave 7) does not come with the clear plastic waterproof case, so I can't rate water resistance and have no intention of using it in the water.

Purchased for a Florida Nature Coast vacation and regular use while kayaking in Virginia. Audio quality and image stabilization have clearly been improved since earlier reviews. Camera and accessories are easy to use. Battery life was sufficient for short paddles and floats. I only used one with a back up fully charged in case needed. For a little over $100, I'm satisfied with the value based on the good results I got. I accidentally tested the water resistance by knocking it into the channel where I was fishing. Oops. No issues with functionality afterward, and a fun video resulted. Buy the extra accessory packs and waterproof case. All very useful and versatile. I would definitely recommend for an amateur looking for an inexpensive, decent quality action cam.

For its price, there is a ton of accessories, and the video taken is quite decent. The unit feels well built. Problem is that the one I received has issue turning on the wifi - it gets stuck on the screen, and I have to manually reset the camera to get it back to a responsive state. No way I can turn on the wifi, it hangs the entire unit. App connectivity is a key reason I bought this. Contacting tech support, hopefully this gets resolved.
