I’ve tried a bunch of wireless controllers over the years, but this one? Total winner. The 8BitDo Ultimate 2 somehow manages to feel premium and effortless at the same time — and the price is more than fair for what you’re getting. Let’s talk build quality: It feels super solid without being heavy, and the textured grips are perfect. No slipping around during long gaming sessions, and no hand cramps either. It just fits in your hands like it belongs there. Performance is top-notch: Seriously responsive. The 1000Hz polling rate sounds like overkill, but you can feel the difference — especially in fast-paced games. Buttons, triggers, sticks — everything feels dialed in and reliable. The dock is the real MVP: This might be my favorite part. You just set the controller on the included charging dock when you’re done, and it automatically powers down. Then, when you pick it up again, it turns on and reconnects like magic. No fiddling with power buttons, no reconnecting — it just works. It’s one of those small things that ends up being a huge quality-of-life upgrade. Extras? Yup: It’s got motion control (great for games that support it), USB-C charging, and a battery that lasts for ages. I’ve gone several sessions without even thinking about charging. Bottom line: This is the controller I didn’t know I needed. It looks great, works flawlessly, and makes switching between gaming sessions feel seamless. If you’re even halfway thinking about buying it — do it. You won’t regret it.

By far the best controller I have used. I have had Scuff and Elite controllers and none of them were as good as this controller for half the price! The TMR sticks are so accurate and have zero deadzone. I think my only complaint and this is me being picky, the buttons on the back are a bit to easy to actuate and it causes me to hit them when I did not mean to. I think with some time that will be ok as your muscle memory will adapt. Fantastic, do not even think. Just buy this!!

For a controller costing almost $70 it has some of the worst software I have ever had to deal with. The controller itself is really well built, but the software is outdated having less features of some controllers made 10 years ago. This controller is sold as "programmable and mappable" with several extra buttons, but these extra buttons can only be mapped to currently existing buttons, or macros of the same, which unless you need to remap keys (which most games already allow you to do), or use the macros on certain games defeats the purpose of having said extra buttons. If the 8BitDo Ultimate Software was fully programable to keyboard presses or had alternate uses for the extra buttons other than macros that could get you flagged for cheating in some games this would be worth the price. However some controllers on Amazon perform these functions flawlessly and do not cost near the price point of this product.

The AKNES 8BitDo Ultimate 2 delivers top-tier performance with excellent comfort, precise TMR sticks, and smart features. It boasts great build quality, responsive buttons, seamless 1000Hz polling (wired and wireless), and highly accurate stick input. The software is easy to use and portable, while extras like programmable buttons, a charging dock, and long battery life make it a standout choice for the price.

Good controller. Turbo for top 2 and back 2 buttons works when you have already set up a gaming profile, regardless of what the instructions say otherwise. The game performs exactly the same as the previous iteration. My only dislike is the hair triggers, like, why? Other than that is a great controller. Not sure if it works on Xbox as I have not tried it yet

This controller is the non-Switch compatible version of 8bitdo's Ultimate controller, only with two additional, extremely well-placed "pro" buttons and a terrible and awful integrated gyro-aim function. If you NEVER plan on using the gyro (or playing retro games, because this d-pad is not good for that), this is a 10/10 controller for modern 3d gaming. It feels great in the hand, the microswitch buttons ensure durability (a big plus over 8bitdo's other controllers, which tend to use delicate and imprecise membrane pads), and the connectivity and profiles make it a breeze to move from game to game or platform to platform. But you DESERVE a controller with a good, functioning gyro, particularly if you are already paying for it As a side note, it still confuses me that this is the "ultimate" controller, when it can't even connect to every relevant device. My 8bitdo Pro 2 has a four-position switch on the back and can be toggled to connect via Bluetooth to any device I have, and it saves the connection in that position, allowing me to move from my PC to my phone in two quick clicks of the switch. How does the second iteration of the "ultimate" controller have WORSE connectivity than a nearly two-year-old controller from the same company??

Best controller I have ever had. Excellent build quality and is set and forget on both Windows 11 and Arch Linux. Seriously, look no more, just get this one.

Doesnt have TMR joysticks they are just hall effect. Not sure why this is advertised when it says on the box they are hall effect sticks.
