I've been using the AMD RYZEN 7 9800X3D for a few weeks now, and it has exceeded all my expectations. This processor is an absolute powerhouse, delivering blazing fast performance and seamless multitasking. Whether I'm gaming, video editing, or running multiple applications simultaneously, the RYZEN 7 9800X3D handles it all with ease. The 8-core, 16-thread architecture provides incredible speed and efficiency, making my daily tasks a breeze. I've noticed a significant boost in overall system performance, and it's even more impressive during intensive tasks. The processor stays cool and runs quietly, even under heavy load, which is a huge plus. Installation was straightforward, and I didn't encounter any issues. Just make sure to get a good aftermarket cooler, as this processor doesn't include one. Overall, the AMD RYZEN 7 9800X3D is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to upgrade their system. Highly recommended for gamers, content creators, and power users alike!

The AMD Ryzen 9 9800X3D is an absolute powerhouse. From the moment I installed it into my system, the performance leap was palpable. **Gaming**: This CPU excels with its 3D V-Cache technology. Games run smoother than ever, with significantly reduced load times and increased frame rates in even the most demanding titles. Titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Flight Simulator run like a dream, with settings cranked to the max without a hitch. **Productivity**: For content creators, the 9800X3D doesn't disappoint. Rendering times in Blender or Premiere Pro are cut down dramatically, making it a beast for video editing, 3D modeling, and more. The multi-core performance is stellar, ensuring that multitasking feels effortless. **Cooling and Efficiency**: Despite its high performance, it maintains surprisingly low temperatures under load, thanks to the innovative architecture. It's also quite power-efficient for its capabilities, which is a bonus for anyone concerned about energy consumption. **Overclocking**: There's room for enthusiasts to push the limits even further. It overclocks well, giving you that extra edge when you need it, although the out-of-the-box performance is already top-notch. **Compatibility**: No issues here. It worked seamlessly with my existing AM5 motherboard after a BIOS update, and the support from AMD has been commendable. In summary, the Ryzen 9 9800X3D is the ultimate choice for anyone looking for peak performance in both gaming and professional applications. It's not just an upgrade; it's a transformation of your computing experience. Highly recommended!

There are actually two reasons why this CPU is so good for gaming. Average frames per second is just the most obvious one. The other factor is frame time. If your frame time is smooth at 60 fps, you will receive a new frame every 16.67 milliseconds. But a PC can reliably deliver smooth fps while delivering inconsistent frame times. This leads to stuttering. The 9800X3D’s frame times are noticeably the best, across a wide variety of games. They’re downright buttery. It’s a definite improvement even versus the 7800X3D, making the newer chip the better buy despite the higher price. Intel’s 14900K and 14900KS provide pretty jittery frame times by comparison. So I wouldn’t seriously consider any other comparably priced CPU, at least for gaming. For productivity workloads, there are definitely scenarios where the 14900K (and the 285K) is superior. But for gaming, it’s not even close. Plus the Ryzen chips put out a lot less heat, so you’ll be fine with an inexpensive air cooler. I use a Thermalright Peerless Assassin, and I get temps in the low 50s C when I play Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. You can get that cooler for less than $40 bucks, and it will cool this chip very quietly. Whereas a 14900K should probably be paired with an all-in-one cooler. This just makes the value proposition of the 14900K that much worse.

If you can get this for at or below it's MSRP of $479.00 paired with a beastly graphics card, you are going to have one of the best gaming systems money can buy. Mine is running stable with 96GB of 6400 CL32 memory (G.Skill F5-6400J3239F48GX2-RS5K) in an Asrock B650e PG Riptide WiFi. I will say, the power consumption (which I measure from the wall) is a bit higher than my previous Intel 12700k system at idle which is a little bit disappointing, however, the power draw when under load is significantly lower which--in my opinion--negates this issue. For clarity, the only difference between my old Intel and newly upgraded AMD system were the motherboard and CPU. Temperatures are amazing with my trusty old NH-D15 and Fractal Torrent Compact case. I was particularly excited that AMD had moved the die on top of the 3D V-cache for better thermals and unlocked overclocking. I am running a curve optimizer offset of -25 for lower temps and power draw while gaming, while keeping clocks high. Your mileage may vary, as some claim to be stable at up to -30, while others seem to be unable to go lower than -20. Overall, super happy with the CPU!
