I bought this as a replacement/upgrade from a Ryzen 5 2600x. So far so good! :) Seems a bit faster than my old ryzen 5 when it comes to gaming on cpu intensive games. It also Renders things faster in 3d modeling/rendering applications compared to the 2600x (if you really have to use the the cpu as the rendering device in blender vs a gpu.) Temps look good, idling at around 28°C. It barely reaches 50°C under a pretty heavy load(with the Arctic Freezer 34 esports duo cooler.) So far ive had no issues whatsoever :) Was too good to pass up for the sale price! I'd definitely recommend to anyone on a budget and still on an AM4 mobo :)

Hell of a deal for this powerful cpu (got it for around 140 at the time of the review), and it comes with an led fan and heatsink! Runs high temps (high 80s) when under serious load so if you are gaming, probably better to go with an AIO. You can sell the heatsink fan for a few bucks to those running a lower wattage AMD.

Mine works fine I guess. I tried PBO curve optimizer through Ryzen Master and could get all core -25. But computer would reboot when at a low power state, would perform fine at full loads reboot no warning at lower power states. Troubleshooting I found the 4th physical core was unstable at any undervolt so I set 7 cores at -25 and 1 core at 0. No more rebooting but I discovered I didn't get the performance boost or lower temps that you would expect to get. So I tested at my undervolt setting and then reset it to stock settings, I got slightly lower temps and better performance. Exact opposite what you should get. So I'm running it at stock settings which my max speed according to specs is 4800Mhz but I get boosts on problem core at just over 4900Mhz 3 of the other cores I get between 4943 and 4950 and 4 of the cores boost over 5000Mhz. So I'm happy with it. I uploaded photo of HWMonitor showing core speeds.

Somehow I managed to nab this beast for $139. Glad I did. Bought it for my daughter's PC build and i'm jealous of how she's able to go from powered off to desktop screen in less than 10 seconds. This CPU is an amazing little powerhouse and much better value for the dollar than the 5800X3D in my opinion.

I wish I could rate the cpu and cooler independently. 5 stars for the cpu. It's awesome, especially at the price I got it for. The cooler however is horrible. I'm sure it's a good cooler, but it shouldn't be paired with this cpu. If you have a case with *REALLY* good airflow, it might be ok but if not, temps are pretty high. I even had the fan set on high. I even tried my own paste (I get pretty good stuff). Also that fan gets very loud when it needs to run fast. I bought this because I didn't want to have to buy a cooler also. I specifically was looking for a cpu that had a cooler for a smaller build. I ended up spending about $28 on another cooler here on Amazon and it's working WAY better! I found out they actually sell the cooler separately for $50. Don't waste your money. As I said, highly recommend the cpu though, so do with that info what you will

is a true beast! It offers blazing-fast speeds and fluid performance for heavy multitasking, gaming, and multimedia production. It can easily tackle hard tasks because to its strong core counts and fast clock speeds. Another big bonus is the power efficiency, which controls energy use and temperatures. Even with high loads, this CPU operates smoothly and steadily when paired with a competent cooling system. I heartily suggest it to anybody seeking exceptional performance.

Power is high with this one but I am getting 1080p into the 300 FPS and higher. A very solid 100fps and higher at HiRes. Cooler works very well with it. Is solid and dependable. The price I paid was quite low so very satisfied.

I bought this on sale to replace my "old" 5700G and have had nothing but regret. my 5700G was perfect honestly, but I was hoping to squeeze a little more power out of the rig I use exclusively for gaming. But as soon as I replaced the 5700G with this 5800XT, my games are unplayable. For lack of a better word, games now stutter during times where there's a lot going on. Monitoring frame rates shows nothing out of the ordinary, maintaining between 60 - 120 some frames a second, and yet the game is stuttering. I've replaced the thermal paste (which wasn't necessary as this thing is still running well below throttling, topping out at 70 under load), I've updated chipset drivers, bios, disabled ftpm, even reinstalled the OS as an absolute last ditch resort, nothing has worked. This issue was completely non existent before with the 5700G, now that I've installed 5800XT gaming has become a nightmare. I already threw the box away so I cannot return it unfortunately, and I've installed my old CPU in another rig I've already sold so now I'm stuck.
