I used this scanner for a few times and works great. Considering the ability to scanner almost all issues. I choose the DS 200 because and I am not into bidirectional ones. Its more than enough for DIY.

I bought this scanner to reset the steering angle sensor on a 2016 town and country van. I can get live data on the angle but nowhere to reset it back to zero degrees. I sent the seller and ancel a message on this. I will update the review depending on the response I get. For now it's going back. Updated, the seller is very responsive and we tried to make it work through updates. In the end it still hasn't reset my 2016 town and country sas. I'm returning it.

I was timid on coughing up more money for a big name scanner,so I ended up buying this and it was worth every penny. Couldn’t be happier with this product

This scan tool has been useful overall, with a wide range of features like ABS bleeding, SAS, and battery reset, as well as lifetime updates via WiFi. However, I’ve noticed it has trouble staying connected to my Ford Explorer, which can be frustrating during diagnostics. When it does stay connected, it performs well and provides detailed information. The tool feels decently made and is a good option for the price, though the connectivity issue could be a concern.

This is an excellent OBD2 scanner that has many maintenance features to help you diagnose and keep a vehicle running properly. The device has a large easy to read and use LCD touch panel and the scanner connects via the included OBD2 cable. The device is powered by the car once on however has a built in 1500mAh battery which can be charged by USB. I used this on my 2022 Subaru and was surprised by the amount of live data and maintenance service that this unit can perform. Any codes that area found can be looked up directly on the device and a note or report emailed once the scanner is connected to a wifi service. This scanner is great for quickly diagnosing common problems like battery voltage or misfires but can also be used for most systems in modern vehicles. The product can reset codes such as oil depending on vehicle and can be used to reset maintenance reminders. There is no pay wall or limitations to the resets the device can perform and it also receives free updates to keep the scanner up to date with current vehicle models. The device itself is durable and made robust and can be used by a pro or DIY person without worry about damage. Overall this is a great quality product that does much of what a professional or much higher cost device is capable of. The value is strong with this scanner as the brand is aggressive in the features and options they offer for a lower cost to the consumer.

I’ve used a few OBD2 scanners over the years, and the ANCEL DS200 stands out as a versatile and reliable diagnostic tool with a solid mix of professional features and ease of use. After putting it to the test on multiple vehicles, here’s what I’ve found. What I Like: ✔ Full-System Diagnostics – Unlike basic scanners that only check engine codes, this one covers ABS, SRS (airbags), transmission, and more. It’s a great tool for deeper troubleshooting. ✔ 15+ Reset Functions – Things like ABS bleeding, battery reset, SAS (steering angle sensor) calibration, oil reset, and even AdBlue reset make it a valuable tool for DIY mechanics and professionals. ✔ FCA AutoAuth Support – If you work with Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Fiat vehicles, the built-in FCA AutoAuth support is a huge plus. No need for third-party workarounds. ✔ Easy to Use Interface – The screen is bright and responsive, and the menu navigation is straightforward. Even if you’re not a pro, you can figure things out quickly. ✔ Lifetime Free Updates – Some scanners require expensive yearly subscriptions, but this one includes free software updates for life, which adds long-term value. What Could Be Better: ✖ Not Bi-Directional – While it reads and clears codes well, it doesn’t allow active testing of components, which would be useful for advanced troubleshooting. ✖ Some Functions May Vary by Vehicle – Certain reset functions may not be available on every make and model, so it’s worth checking compatibility for your car. ✖ Cord Could Be Longer – The OBD2 cable is a bit short, so if you like to work outside the driver’s seat, you may need an extension. Final Verdict For the price, the ANCEL DS200 is an excellent choice if you want more than just basic code reading but don’t need a high-end professional tool. It’s packed with useful reset features, covers all major vehicle systems, and includes lifetime updates, making it a great investment for DIYers and small shops. Would I recommend it? Yes, especially for those looking for an affordable scanner with full-system diagnostics and reset functions.

I wanted this Ancel DS200 to help me both diagnose issues with my vehicles, and to perform proper maintenance on them. I really like how this has performed so far. The scanner works the same as most do. You run a cord between the port that is usually under the dash/steering wheel and the scanner itself. From there you turn on the scanner and follow the prompts (it will ask you if you want it to identify the vehicle for instance). The first vehicle I tried this on was my brothers Lincoln Navigator. I tested it on his truck because he had a check engine light that was on for a couple weeks. I plugged this in, allowed it to identify the vehicle which it did with no problem, and then proceeded to scan all systems. After a couple off minutes it came back with a report stating that the O2 sensor on bank 1 had a problem (see photo). I cleared the code using this, but it came back. Thanks to the file functions on this, I was able to email him the report so he could source the part needed. A week later I helped him put it in and then reset the check engine light. The check engine light did not come back this time. In addition to the help this provides when you have an indicator light on the dash, it can help with maintenance as well. My wife's SUV needs a brake fluid flush this spring. I have done the job a couple times, but have not been able to do it completely correctly because I did not have a way to activate the ABS system for a proper bleed. I can do that with this system. There are 15 different maintenance functions this can work with (I just used this to reset oil life on a Honda CRV - there are other ways but tried it to see if it would work). This scanner seems well made and the software has been glitch free so far (runs on Android). The scanner is made of what feels like thick plastic and is further "ruggedized" with a rubber surround around the outside. It is sized well to fit in the hand and the surface has a good micro texture making it easy to hang on to. The scanners cord is just over 3 feet in length which should be adequate for most situations. This is a good addition to any home mechanics tool box. Thanks to the ease of use, and the lifetime updates, I can recommend this OBD2 scanner.

This scan tool has been helpful as it has more features compared to a traditional code reader. I like that it's capable of scanning the engine system, SRS system, transmission as well as ABS whereas my standard OBD2 scanner is only able to read emissions related codes. I've had an ABS light on my dash and this scan tool was able to find a fault with my wheel speed sensor. It was also able to clear the code whereas I was unable to do this with my regular OBD2 scanner. The auto search feature is convenient as it will automatically scan the VIN to find the make and model of my vehicle so I don't need to manually select it. I also like that this has the ability to connect to WiFi so it can receive updates directly from the internet without having to download anything on a seperate computer. The scan tool arrived ready to use and it doesn't require any additional setup such as downloading computer software or making accounts. Overall this is a good diagnostic scan tool and the build quality feels decent as it's primarily made of a thick plastic with a rubber over molding. The included case feels adequate for storing the device in my tool box and it's large enough to accommodate the scan tool and cables. The scan tool doesn't have any physical buttons besides the power button although the touchscreen is quite responsive. Since this runs on Android, I also find that it's easy to learn and use as it feels similar to using a phone or tablet. The touch screen brightness can also be adjusted so it's easy to see in both dark or bright areas.

This Ancel DS200 is one of the easiest OBD2's I've ever used. This has come in handy for a few different issues already. My elantra had a warning triangle lit and it turned out to be a bulb after scanning it this told me what and where ...Fantastic. Our SUV had the ABS light as well as the Control Hold and EPS all lit up, This told us what to check and which wheel it was. saved a trip to the dealership...Turned out to be a loose connection. My husband did the brakes recently and the plug wasn't in all the way. Easy fix and this saved us the $100+ diagnostics and then the repair fees for a simple oversight! I got this and plugged it in and did the updates. It was easy to connect to the vehicles and it figured out the correct vehicle and did everything. Plus I was able to creat a report! We don't take our SUV to the dealer for oil changes and for some reason the Blulink wasn't registering the last 2 oil changes and the mileage they were done at. With this I was able to clear that up. I highly recommend as anyone with or without car knowledge can use this. To have foreknowledge is to be forewarned when dealing with mechanicle issues at a dealership. The large screen is easy to read and use and the handy storage box keeps everything together and protected. I highly recommend this for any car owner. Especially if you own more than 1 vehicle.
