Let me start by disclosing that I am not a professional welder by any means. I needed a welder to fix my lawnmower deck and other random things around the house. I saw this on Amazon for a really cheap price so I researched Arccaptain on YouTube to see some reviews and it seemed to be a great device. I watched 2 hours of how to weld videos on YouTube and ordered this welder. Everything about this unit seemed well designed and me with no experience except videos was able to setup up and use in about 5 minutes after unpacking the box. It was easy to adjust wire tension and power settings after seeing how to on videos. It is a solid welder that after practicing laying beads on a few pieces of metal I fixed many things around my home and fixed a few things for friends. I've used it to weld as thin as door sheetmetal skin back onto door frame on friends van to 1/4" material on farm implements that are still holding tight and strong. The unit itself is light and highly portable and is handy that you can plug into 120v so it can be used anywhere without needing 220v plug. The mig torch and feed are smooth and easy for a beginner to use and the supplied wire is strong and doesn't put off alot of spatter. I've already sent links to a few of my friends who have bought units themselves because they liked mine so much. Great product buy it!

I have owned mine for a year now and liked it so much, I gave one to my brother for Christmas. He loves his as well. First off it is not a Miller. It does not use argon. It is not designed for heavy daily use. It is small, but looks are deceiving. It packs a punch. If you are a garage guy and need a 110 welder for your projects, this little guy performs. My garage does not have 220, so I was forced to use a 110 welder. I originally had a HF 110 mig. It was terrible compared to this one. This welder utilizes DC output and employs heavy capacitors to achieve extremely stable voltage/ current. Rock solid output. So no surprises to your welding puddle, while laying down a bead. It is well built and easy to carry. I take this welder with me when off road camping and use my generator to power it. I added a better grounding clamp and am using Lincoln .030 wire and tips now. Not sure what else to say. It is an extremely good little welder for the money. I would highly recommend. I will probably look into other Arccaptain products after owning this and witnessing its performance for myself. Hope this review helps someone.

So far everything is as described and works as intended. The machine is fairly lightweight and came with some small parts and tools to get it setup. it also came with a gas hose, stick welder, ground clamp and a MIG welding gun. I still need to get the TIG attachment separately, but I will write a review on that item separately. Not really an issue/complaint, but when opening the manual, a sticker sheet fell out. I thought it was pretty cool to include stickers, although I wont use them. However, after looking at the stickers, there were typos on them that made it clear they were translated to English from Chinese. I get it, its a welder from China, but it doesn't exactly give you confidence in your welder when something as simple as word typos weren't addressed prior to production/shipping.

Play Video I have been really impressed with the ArcCaptain MIG200 multi-process welder. I bought this welder as an upgrade and replacement for my old Millermatic 140 welder. This ArcCaptain welder has so much more versatility, adjustment, and power compared to the old basic transformer MIG welder I'm coming from. The build quality is excellent, although it may not be as durable as a big name brand, but for DIY hobby use in the garage it will be more than tough enough. The welder comes with almost everything you need to MIG or stick weld out of the box. The only items you'll need to pick up are your MIG wire, shielding gas (unless you run flux-core wire), a gas regulator, or your stick welding electrodes. The welder comes with extra MIG consumables and uses standard tweco style contact tips readily available. 3 different styles of wire drive rolls are provided; V-groove for solid wire, knurled groove for flux wire, and U-groove for aluminum wire. Unfortunately ArcCaptain appears to have a packaging issue though because even with 7 drive rolls included in the kit none of them have a groove sized for running 0.035" (0.9mm) wire of any type. Hopefully they correct this issue in the future. This welder welds nicely and creates an easy to control weld bead. I'm a little rusty with my handwork so the inconsistencies in my test welds were the result of my own travel speed issues and not the welder. The Synergistic MIG functionality is really nice and provides a really good starting point for MIG weld settings. The one thing that ArcCaptain completely fails to mention in their user manual though is that when your in Synergistic mode you MUST set the AMPERAGE level appropriate for the material thickness being welded and then the machine will adjust the voltage and wire feed speed accordingly. For any beginner, just follow this rule of thumb and use 1 Amp for ever 0.001" of material thickness (ex. for welding 1/8" thick steel start with the welder set to 125A in synergistic mode and adjust the voltage from there if the weld is too hot/cold for your liking). My only minor complaints about the welder, aside from the missing 0.035" drive rolls, are that ArcCaptain didn't include a MIG setup chart sticker inside the door cover (which is standard practice on all MIG machines), and that the unit comes wired for 110V input and they provide a 110V to 220V adapter cable. I think this practice of passing 220V through a 110V plug is poor design and may even be a violation of certain electrical safety codes. The better design would've been to have a 220V cable wired to the unit and adapt down to a 110V plug when needed. Overall this ArcCaptain MIG200 welder is a great value for all of the functionality it provides. It provides many more advanced features typically reserved for welders 2-3X the price of this unit. ArcCaptains support team has also been very helpful and responsive to my emails and the customer support is excellent for an international company. I'd highly recommend this welder to anyone looking for an excellent value multi-process MIG welder.

This is the first welder I’ve had and the first time I’ve ever welded, now I don’t know much about welding but this thing works pretty good, Ive already used it a bit and the welds are strong and it’s actually pretty easy to learn with this, it comes with a setting guide for the thickness of metal to be welded, set that right and you’ll be good to go! I really can’t think of anything negative to say about it, everything works like it should and it’s easy to use, it’s made pretty well.

Great welder. Its better that a hobart multi process i had and as long as the spool motor keeps working it will do what i need and the price is great. Beat yes welder hobart andeli and rest under 500. This is the best welding machine under 1000$ on amazon

I was looking for a inverter mig welder and at first went with a Bestarc 145, but that died completely within the first two weeks. Having returned that unit I started looking at something a bit more expensive, and that had a good warranty period. The reviews on the Mig 200 were all pretty much excellent, and the manufacturer offering a 2 year warranty (I also bought an additional 3 years through Asurion) helped seal the deal. I was impressed with unit immediately, both for its features and its solid construction. The user manual is actually quite well written with only a few translation gaffes, and is easy to follow to get you up to speed with Mig 200's operation. After spending a few hours doing practice welds, I got to work on building a welding cart for this and my plasma cutter. I have only used the MIG and Flux core so far, both performed flawlessly. Gun is very comfortable in the hand and 10 length on the cord is more than adequate. I am just a hobby welder and DIYer so this machine is perfect for me, but the range of settings and adjustments that you can play with, I am sure an experienced and professional welder would also be quite impressed with this, especially for the price.

This welder is great for the price. I have purchased tens of thousands of dollars of welders in the past for business and personal. Its not anything fancy. built plenty good enough for the price. I had a job to do for my sister in a basement on her hot water tank that had a leak due to a manufacturing flaw. Didn't want to drag the entire Dynaster Miller TIG setup across the county and down the stairs, etc. 200$ welder saved her from buying a 4000$ hot water tank. Like - super light, super cheap, red, packaged well, top load spools, extra tip. Dislike - only wire speed adjustment, but works well, simple. Consumables do not look like anything I have ever stocked. May be disposable type deal??? FYI - 15 amp breaker kicks at roughly 5/8 load

Play Video I just put this puppy to use welding 14 gage 10 gage, tubing and 3/8” plate. It didn’t struggle at all. Even overheads and terrible spots, I was able to adjust the settings so easily with the SYN mode where it automatically adjusts the wire speed to match the desired voltage. I love the thought that was put into this welder. Even threading wire through the liner - it shuts the gas off (so u don’t waste any) and Max’s out the wire speed automatically. I have not used the aluminum wire spool yet but will come back her with some feed back when I do. I had a Lincoln welder that cost me $2500 in 2016 and the mother board fries in 2024. It would have cost more to fix it than buy a new one… so I looked into other models and had a buddy recommend arc captain. I’m glad he did. For the price - this is a fantastic garage welder. I am a journeyman ironworker and a journeyman welder. Most of my garage work is on cars, jeeps and oddball projects. This welder is capable of everything that I plan to throw at it. Very impressed.

This is a very handy machine and easy to use as well only draw back I find-it doesn't run 0.23 wire and unfortunately if the MIG torch breaks there is no replacement for it that should of been considered when built. The price is very reasonable these are the only 2 draw backs of-this unit I decided to buy the ArcCaptain 200A its a bit pricier but has more features and parts are replaceable when needed. This 130 A is a good unit for a DIY person to start learning welding as a starter unit would definitely recommend it.

I've used it around the shop a whole bunch now good with mig gas or flux core and stick, haven't had the chance to try lift tig or a spool gun. Good for any diy or beginner welder, works great on thin materials like body panels and even better with thicker material like roll cages and step notches if set up properly this is a beast of a machine. Lots of settings more than I know how to use. Not sure on the longevity of the welder but so far im happy with how portable it is VERY light compared to many other welders!!
