This ASUS monitor is a 28-inch 4K UHD IPS gaming monitor that features beautiful visuals with vibrant and accurate colors. It supports HDR10, enhancing brightness levels beyond standard monitors, making it ideal for content creation or working from home. FreeSync technology helps eliminate screen tearing and stuttering, while Shadow Boost improves visibility in dark areas for gaming. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, feature-rich display, this monitor is a solid choice.

This 38" 4K Asus monitor offers a lot to love when it comes to functionality and performance. Designed for work, gaming, and creative needs, it offers an array of features to elevate your digital experience. Readability is a standout feature; the clarity of text is remarkable. If spreadsheets and articles are part of your daily grind, your eyes will be in for a treat. Color accuracy is another high point. Creative professionals and color aficionados will find that this monitor meets their expectations. A word about screen size and distance: At 38 inches, it is best viewed from 2-3 feet away (approximately 60-90 cm). This is about the largest screen that's comfortably usable at 4K resolution. The IPS panel does show some minor corner glow on darker scenes, but this is unlikely to interfere with your day-to-day activities. As for HDR, it's more of a checkbox feature. While it's there and technically functions, don't expect it to be the star of the show. Consider it a "nice-to-have" rather than a game-changer. Where compatibility is concerned, the 16:9 aspect ratio with 4K resolution is spot-on. Need to downscale to 1080p for graphically demanding games? No problem—everything scales smoothly, sans glitches. For gamers, the Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) options are a boon. With G-Sync compatibility included, the monitor promises smoother gameplay whether you're using high-end Nvidia and AMD cards or modern consoles like the Xbox Series X and Sony PlayStation 5. One more perk for those worried about the longevity of their screens: this monitor doesn't suffer from the image burn-in risks that you might associate with OLED technology. While the monitor has 5W speakers and USB connections, consider these features the cup holders of this technological "sports car"—nice to have but not why you made the purchase. Now, if there's a chink in the armor, it's the lack of deep blacks that OLED technology offers. While the monitor excels in many areas, if you're seeking OLED-level blacks, this isn't the screen for you. In summary, this 38" 4K Asus monitor is a nearly perfect blend of size, clarity, and versatility. If you're eyeing an upgrade, it comes highly recommIt is highly recommended if you're considering an upgrade.

I’ve had this for a few weeks now. As soon as I got it, I upgraded from 1440p 180hz. My first OLED and a crazy hz increase. This monitor is perfect in every way, everything looks awesome and it makes shooters feel like im cheating with how responsive it is, and how smooth it is. Perhaps overpriced for 1k, but an ultimate end game monitor for me. Never upgrading again.

I was in the market for a large 16:9 inch monitor, of which there aren't very many. I originally discovered the XG43UQ, also from Asus. At 43", it was quite the behemoth to have on a desk and being a VA panel, colors looked quite nice on it and the HDR performance was good for an LCD display. However, I found the size to be almost overwhelming sitting so close to it. That combined with the slow pixel response time made me eventually return it. I still didn't want to give up though, so a few months passed and after much research I discovered this unit of a monitor. It checked all the boxes for me. Big, but not too big. High quality IPS display. And it was Asus so it matched the rest of my setup to boot! I was weary at first because at the time there were almost no reviews on the thing and very little information on real world performance. However, when I took it out of the box, all my worries went away. The color accuracy was much better than my old budget VA panel, the response times were good so there is virtually no smearing, and the size was perfect! Not too big to where you can't see the edges of the screen, but still large enough to be immersive and useful for couch co-op. If you're in the market for a large monitor that's not OLED, the PG38UQ is a great performer and worthy of your consideration. After owning mine for almost a year, I still get excited to sit down and use it!

This is my first 4K monitor. It looks great and I believe it's worth it/ has a good price even at this size. Nice image, no bad pixels, good stand adjustability, some fun but not terribly useful gaming features depending on the games you play. I use this as the left monitor in a dual monitor setup, so the controls being on the back right and so far up is a pain. This is mostly annoying because I connect 2 PCs and want to easily switch between them. This isn't a deal breaker, just not ideal for my current setup. Big issue and reason for 4 stars: No matter what I try it with, the DP port is not working for me. It detects something is connected but no device can initiate it, even if that's the only connection present. It doesn't matter what cable or device I try it with. Works very well with each HDMI port. Unfortunately, HDMI being the only option limits the max frequency my setup can run the monitor to 120Hz, leaving some performance on the table. This is a quirk of my setup; I definitely wanted something with DP. I will likely return it for this reason.

I recently had the pleasure of upgrading my gaming setup with the ASUS TUF Gaming 28” 4K 144Hz DSC HDMI 2.1 Gaming Monitor, and let me tell you, it has been an absolute game changer. This monitor is a testament to ASUS's commitment to quality and innovation in the gaming industry. First and foremost, the 4K resolution combined with the blazing fast 144Hz refresh rate makes for an incredibly immersive gaming experience. The visuals are crisp, the colors are vibrant, and the level of detail in games is breathtaking. Whether exploring open worlds, engaging in fast-paced shooters, or enjoying a visually stunning game, this monitor will deliver in spades. 100% recommended!

You should buy this one, it's best for the price. Try using SVP software, it made my monitor look 10 times better after adjusting brightness, contrast & saturation settings in my media players (you also need to setup the proper codecs in media players or HDR will not work at all, google how to get your media players to work with SVP to get HDR to work... mine wasn't even working even though I thought it was). I seek through the video to a dark spot and set your brightness, contrast and saturation in the media player there. After this, the darks and brights are so unbelievably awesome because there is 60 times more color than SDR, and the rest of the colors makes a difference too. I never had a clue it could look this good!! Use the DisplayPort Cable they give you in the box (it is superior to hdmi). Also, make sure you go Windows > Settings > System > HDR Option (turn on), and click above that option for more HDR options. There, the windows "HDR/SDR brightness balance" slider controls the SDR still visible (only the HDR pictures and videos can be HDR, so the rest is SDR, and therefore that slider does not affect the HDR at all. Change settings in monitor before switching to HDR mode in Windows, because you cannot change any monitor settings in HDR mode. (choose different modes in "GameVisual" category, I think Cinema Mode and Racing Mode or something allows you to change brightness, contrast, and even saturation.) After that, you never would have guessed it could make such a difference! Just remember to turn the HDR back off and on. Also, it literally gives off any heat at all somehow even though it's so huge and powerful! It even has cheesy speakers don't expect much there though haha. The DisplayPort cord they gave stopped working (or something? idk haha) It's just a cheap cord, you should buy a good one! Overall, since I always use headphones, not the speakers, I give this monitor 10 out of 10 in everything else.
