I bought the Ring camera because I had been thinking for a long time that I needed some security on my front porch. The price was right and I am glad I did it. Even though I have a wired doorbell, I decided it was easier just to get one with wi-fi. My brother came for Christmas and I asked him to install it. The spot I was installing it is too narrow, so my brother mounted a piece of wood first, then screwed the Ring Camera to the wood. It’s very easy and user friendly to use. I can clearly see whoever is on my porch. I also live with my 86 year old mother and it gives me peace of mind when I see her going out the front door to get the mail, or when she’s cleaning and shaking out rugs, I can turn on the intercom when I’m at work and harass her. The ring on the camera changes color when I’m talking to her (or anyone that rings the doorbell). I did purchase a door chime, so mom can hear when a package is delivered or if someone rings the doorbell. If you don’t purchase the chime, the person at home without a smartphone can’t hear someone at the door. You can also program the chime so that it sounds different for a package as opposed to someone ringing the doorbell. Sometimes the WiFi turns off of it for some reason, but mom has figured out how to disconnect and then reconnect it so it starts working again. The Ring camera detects everything happening on the porch. I can even see at night. I subscribed to the cheapest plan, it does everything I need, it records and allows me to interact with whoever is on the porch.

What I expect from a Ring product. It works great. Easy to set up. Easy to integrate and connect. Easy! We live in standard suburbia home and it’s been going three weeks w standard motion and video settings. Battery is at 66% as of this morning. Have the chime set up as well. Couldn’t have been easier and works great!

My fiancé and I just bought a brand new home and since, we have been deathly afraid of something bad happening. I was looking all over online and found this ring camera with 5 star reviews and decided to try it out, I’m glad I did!! I have so many positive comments about this, I don’t think I can fit them all here. For starters, the camera quality is pretty clear. I can see people and recognize their face unlike other cameras you buy online. I can do a live feed whenever I want, talk to people standing at the door, and even leave automated responses for when I’m busy and can’t reach the camera feed. It records whenever something triggers the camera and notifies you immediately. It will recognize a vehicle or person and let you know what is at the door. Now of course, all of these things can be changed via settings so if your in a busy neighborhood and your camera is facing a road or high traffic area, you can adjust the angle of your camera picture to only pick up people/vehicles in that vicinity and send/alert them to your phone. Again I have so many positive things to say about this camera and brand but no negative. Consider buying this!

Great doorbell, great picture quality with a decent view of the front door. App is user friendly. No delay with motion sensor/doorbell notifications. Battery lasted a couple of months before recharge was required. Only downfall is the ongoing paid subscription, no option for an SD card.
