I bought these to replace "ALL" door knobs in the house. Not just this type tho, ones for closest, privacy w/locks for bedrooms and bathrooms, and keyed for side door, garage and Master Bdrm. All the same style and all from different sellers on Amazon, and ALL of the ones that lock, are backwards... Pictures are of our side entrance in the laundry room. Its crazy man, but they work as they should. Now, when you turn the handles, its a smooth action, they return smoothly when you let go, however the handles,or knobs I should say, are hollow and very lightweight and therefore make it feel cheap, but mainly if you hold them and wiggle them, you can feel the hollowness. Now, I changed out my whole house, almost, I forgot to include a few doors. They now all match, same color, same style, but of course different types as per application. Now as for the lock/unlock position being backwards, I was asked this question by my wife today, actually standing by the same door as pictured. She asked, "so how do I get out?" - pointing at the door handle. I reached and turned the lock mechanism and opened the door. "Oohhh, its backwards" she says, I nod yes as her 18yo daughter says- "yea, I locked myself in the bathroom earlier"... I am not kidding, true story. I had to ask her- "Did you get out ok" Listen people, I'm not judging or stereotyping, but they are both blonde. Hope this was helpful.

Hot this doorknob for my closet to keep out holiday gift snoopers. It's perfect, looks great, easy to install, great instructions. Took about 10 mins to take odd the old doorknob and add the new. Feels secure, smooth operation, not like a cheap doorknob. Very happy with this purchase. Also, the instructions include how to install if there isn't an existing doorknob.

Easy to install

After two months the latch suddenly stopped popping back out. Must be a broken spring inside. We have to make sure the latch pops back out otherwise the door does not latch closed and the wind can blow the door open. Will have to replace. I did not install it immediately so the window to return has expired. Appearance is beautiful.

Bought similar items from other vendors but they have more stainless steel cheap look. This lock is solid with matte satin nickel color. Highly satisfied.

This was easy to fit and came with good instructions. I have basic DIY skills and was surprised that I managed to do it unassisted. You will need a screw driver and an electric drill. The hardest bit was getting the old lock off.
