Flea medication works really well for my 7 cats. Since I started using this product on them monthly I havr not seen one flea. It is farely inexpensive and is a game changer in my multi pet home.

It'd day 4 of having put an application on two cats, both around 7- 8 lbs. Usually when I put flea meds on, the fleas will jump on me or anywhere else and bight before they die. I've only had 2 on me the past 4 days. I have rarely seen my cats itch. Typically they will scratch in a frenzy after an application. My cats did not show any visible sign of skin irritatation or sickness. I used a flea brush on day 2 and no fleas. Day 3 I found one. Note that I did use 2 applications of Adavantage about 3 weeks before this. The Advantage only worked for 2 days, then it was full flea force again even when using a flea brush. The only con I can think of is that it smells sort of like a m€th lab.

When I initially bought this product, I was dealing with an infestation. It was not strong enough to kill the amount of fleas - I have five cats. I had to use a stronger/name brand product instead. This was while I was also treating my house. BUT this product works great for monthly maintenance or getting rid of minimal amount of fleas. If you have an infestation, I recommend using something stronger. If you are using for monthly maintenance, I think it will work great. Two of my cats did have a skin reaction the first time I used the flea treatment on them, but they no longer have any skin reaction after the second application. Maybe we received a bad batch the first time? Another reason I like this product is the fact that I can use the ends of the packaging to separate the fur for easy skin access.

My kitty is 24 yrs old, she still goes outside and sometimes brings in fleas. I’ll apply a flea treatment. Frontline or advantage. Knocks them buggers off pretty quick. I’m good for a couple months until I see her scratching again and I’ll reapply. Never do I see any actual fleas. I noticed her scratching recently, went on Amazon as I always do, and noticed this product, decent reviews, and the low price so I bought it! After 9 days she’s scratching again, by day 13 I'm forced reapply as I can see fleas and she’s very uncomfortable! Again 2 weeks later fleas!! I’m done with this product. Obviously I wasted all the linen and beds in between applications as iv had enough experience with this type of thing but it wasn’t me or the environment causing the infestation. It’s definitely the low quality of this Amazon basics flea product not doing a good job. I took the time to write this review so that you don’t fall into the same trap I did. You have been warned. And you’re welcome

I currently have 8 cats, and my sister has an additional cat. I actually got better results with this product than I did with Advantage II. In Florida, fleas are very difficult to get rid of once they start an infestation. According to my vet, ingesting fleas and/or flea eggs causes worms, which can be stopped with topical flea treatment. This product will also get rid of worms. Some sellers will only let you purchase a single package but this seller allows me to buy what I need when I need it.

The point of these products is infestation prevention, I was using it on my dogs and cats. A hurrica passed along the coast causing day and night rain for 9 days straight and all of the sudden fleas were climbing me in the yard by the hundreds, and within 2 days inside the house. Over $300 on high wuality foggers and sprays, and I am still seeing some fleas in the yard. The house seems to be under control. The tooical are supposed to have growth regulators that prevent this from happening, but my dogs and cats were getting anemnic. I was having to use Capstar on them at least every other say, I've had to treat for tapeworms, and I'm keeping the topical in them. I gave a 3 star because I'm not sure if the fleas are resistsnt, there were just that many coming uphill from the swamp or if the topicsl completely failed. At best, it couldn't keep up. At worst, it didn't work at all. Fleas on animals were all alive and kicking until I gave Capstar, so it seems it wasn't working.
