These rechargeable batteries have been an excellent investment for my home. I primarily use them for my in-closet lighting, but they’ve also proven useful for a variety of household devices. Having a reliable set of batteries on hand means I never have to worry about running out or making unnecessary trips to the store. Used with the charger I already have, charging is efficient and easy to use, quickly replenishing the batteries so they’re always ready when I need them. Over time, this has saved me money and reduced waste from disposable batteries. If you’re looking for a dependable and cost-effective power solution, I highly recommend these.

good batteries, hold their charge well enough and no leak issues after owning for a couple of years. they do lose some of their charge after sitting for an extended time period but that is normal. I use them for mainly Xbox controllers and toys.

Lots of reviews here, but few if any with data. Here’s the summary of my data: 12 new batteries were tested and all met their claims. Out of the box charge was a low of 1730 mAh to a high of 1820 mAh. Refreshed capacity was from 2050 mAh to 2130 mAh. Percent capacity after 28 days ranged from 88% to 91%. Refreshed capacity after 28 days was from 2030 mAh to 2140 mAh. I do not have the time to measure the claimed 80% capacity after 2 years, or the claim that the batteries can be recharged 1000 times. The self-discharge rate of these batteries is as low as any brand I have tested or have seen tested. I think these are fine batteries and a good value, especially when on sale. Sometimes these can be found for close to $1 per battery. Yes, I will buy them again when I need more rechargeable batteries. Details of test: I bought 12 batteries on 21 November, 2023. I tested 4 at a time in a LaCrosse BC-900 battery charger using the “Refresh” mode. Discharge rate = 500 mA, charge rate = 1000 mA. The batteries were discharged until the voltage dropped to 0.90 V. Both batteries and charger were fan cooled during the tests. Battery temp when being discharged was 22° C. Battery temp when being charged was 30° C. Batteries were stored for 28 days in a 20° C room, and then retested. Comments: The charge and discharge rates (1000 mA & 500 mA) are reasonable for these batteries. The charge rate is about ½ C, which is half the charge rate usually specified for the number of charge-discharge cycles (in this case, 1000). The discharge rate is middle of the road for the devices these batteries are often used in. Most devices with motors will discharge at a higher rate, most small purely electronic devices will use less than 500 mA. Low Self-Discharge (LSD) batteries loose most of their charge in the first week; going from 100% to less than 94%. After one week, the self-discharge drops off markedly. If stored in a refrigerator at 5° or less, the self-discharge should be a little less. However, do not freeze the batteries. And, as you may have guessed, I am an engineer. UPDATE on 19 November, 2024 I ordered 24 more of these batteries, and after charge cycling them 3 or 4 times, I tested them. All batteries exceeded their 2000 mAhr rated capacity, with a range of 2050 mAhr to 2200 mAhr. These are good batteries at a good price.

Awesome shipping as I received the batteries next day. However, these batteries did not arrive fully charged, they had to charge all day and night until they were ready. Once fully charged great power, lit my flashlight up. Will see how many recharges you can get. Compatible with any charger, comparable value to Energizer in how long a charge lasts.

Been awhile since I bought them, and those that are out and about aren't dying fast. That's a good sign. Best bang for the buck on an eneloop-type cell. I still have real eneloops for critical things, but these are great for controllers, a hand mixer/frother, and camera flashes (as backup). They are bigger than regular AA cells so they can be a bit tight if the device has little to no tolerances.

Switching to rechargeable batteries has been a great decision, and the Amazon Basics 16-Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH Batteries, 2000 mAh, have exceeded my expectations. Here’s why these batteries are a smart choice for anyone looking to go green and save money: High Capacity: These batteries come with a 2000 mAh capacity, providing long-lasting power for a variety of devices. Whether it’s remote controls, wireless mice, flashlights, or kids’ toys, these batteries deliver reliable performance that keeps devices running longer between charges. Cost-Effective: Investing in a pack of 16 rechargeable batteries is a cost-effective decision in the long run. They can be recharged hundreds of times, which significantly reduces the need to buy disposable batteries. This not only saves money but also minimizes waste, making it an eco-friendly option. Consistent Performance: The performance of these batteries is consistently good. They hold their charge well and deliver stable power throughout their use. I’ve experienced no drop-off in performance, even after multiple recharge cycles. Pre-Charged and Ready to Use: One of the convenient features is that these batteries come pre-charged and ready to use right out of the pack. There’s no need to charge them before first use, which is great for immediate needs. Low Self-Discharge: These batteries have a low self-discharge rate, which means they retain their charge for longer periods when not in use. This is especially useful for devices that are used infrequently, as you don’t have to worry about the batteries being dead when you need them. Easy to Recharge: Recharging these batteries is simple with any standard NiMH charger. They charge relatively quickly and are ready to go again in no time. I’ve had no issues with overcharging or overheating. Durable and Reliable: The build quality of these batteries is solid. They feel durable and have held up well through numerous charge and discharge cycles. I’ve experienced no leakage or performance issues, which is a testament to their reliability. Versatile Use: With 16 batteries in the pack, there are plenty to go around for various devices in the house. I’ve even kept a few in reserve for when other batteries need recharging. They’re versatile and can be used in any device that takes AA batteries. Environmentally Friendly: Using rechargeable batteries is a great way to reduce environmental impact. By cutting down on disposable battery use, these Amazon Basics batteries help decrease the amount of hazardous waste that ends up in landfills. Overall: Overall, the Amazon Basics 16-Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH Batteries, 2000 mAh, are a fantastic choice for anyone looking for reliable, long-lasting power. They offer excellent value, consistent performance, and an eco-friendly alternative to disposable batteries. If you’re in the market for high-quality rechargeable batteries, these are highly recommended!

In the past, I've always bought "brand name" rechargeables but decided to try these. Price is very good and so far after a few months they seem to work just as well as other brands (I haven't done any scientific comparaisons though).

The Amazon Basics AA Rechargeable Batteries are an excellent choice for anyone looking for reliable, long-lasting power, large capacity at a great price! I’ve been using these batteries for several devices, and they perform just as well as more expensive brands. They hold their charge for a long time and provide consistent power, whether I’m using them in my remotes, flashlights, or kids toys. The best part is the value—you get a pack of batteries at an affordable price, and they’re rechargeable, which saves me money in the long run. The charging process is quick and efficient, and I’ve had no issues with battery life or performance. If you need high-quality AA rechargeable batteries that won’t break the bank, these are a fantastic option. Highly recommend!
