We bought the Earth Red, XL, fits perfect, color is great. My husband always turned his nose up at "puffer" vests and jackets. I bought him an EB one a few years ago and he liked it, now he wanted another one, but I longer work at a store where I could get one discounted. I found this one Amazon, the minute he put it on he was in love and within 5 minutes I was asked to order another in blue. Comparing this one with The EB----R brand, he thinks this one is better made, appreciates the zipper in the front pockets, comfortable and light weight. Highly recommend.

I love this vest. I purchased the first vest wearing it every day. I was so impressed I purchased another one in a different color. Watch out I have 3 now. The fit of each is perfect and the vest is durable and warm.

I recently purchased (2) of the light blue puffer vests from Amazon in sizes Large and X-Large for an average of $16.50 each at the end of the winter season. I usually wear the traditional fit of Land's End in Large but size up to X-Large for the Amazon Essentials line of jackets (with sleeves). The XL is more comfortable and allows for layering in colder weather. However, for the (sleeveless) vests, I prefer the Large for a snug but comfortable fit. As others have noted, Amazon basics do not have adjustable drawstrings to tighten the fit. As such, the XL vest is too loose to wear as an inner layer. The vests do keep you warm and are of good quality. Lightweight synthetic fiber with a water resistant nylon shell. If you can buy the vests on sale, it is a great value.

Addendum 10/24 I bought my first Amazon "puffer" vest last winter season, and it really helped to make many of the colder days more bearable. That first vest has held up perfectly - no popped seams, no busted zippers. During a recent "Prime Day" sale, they had these going for a very good price, so I got another on in a different color (Dark Olive Green). It's equally well made. Here's my original review: I wanted another lightweight layer to wear under my winter parka, and a friend suggested a "puffer" style vest. I've been happy with other Amazon Basics products, and this is the first piece of clothing I've purchased from their clothing line. So far, so good. First, Amazon suggest a large size, but I've always considered myself to be a "medium", without too much of a gut, so that's what I ordered. Glad I did, because the fit is perfect, IMHOP. It's close to my torso, but definitely not snug or constricting. The bottom hem is loosely elastic, and has no cinching. In the pictures, the vest appears a bit more "puffy" than what I got. Fine by me, I'll be layering this under my coat, and didn't want a lot of bulk. I got the dark red, and the vest is a wine colored burgundy, very close to the color that's shown on the website. It has a medium sized front zipper that extends all the way up into the collar. The outside pockets are decent sized, not too big, and also zippered. There are top load pockets on the inside of the vest (both sides) that have no closures. Quite happy with these vests - used as an extra layer under a coat or around the house, they're great! :)
