Before purchasing this bar and sub, I read way too many soundbar reviews and did a bunch of comparison shopping. It eventually came down to this and the Klipsch. I chose this one because I was wanted ease of setup and perfect compatibility with my new Panasonic OLED Fire TV. As expected, the setup was cake and it's flawlessly compatible with my new Fire TV (the Panny OLED, by the way, is top notch). I can't compare this to other sound bars/subs because this is my first, but I can compare it to the high quality Denon receiver and Definitive Technology speakers that I also have connected to the TV. I still use the Denon/Def Tech speakers for certain types of viewing (i.e., music heavy and for live sports), but this soundbar/sub is massively superior when watching movies and general streaming content. It's movie theater quality sound, especially when the content is recorded with high-end sound (e.g., Dolby). It totally changes the home viewing experience. I haven't had to use the dialogue enhancement because everything is crisp and clear right out of the box with factory settings. There are lots of settings and features available using the remote, though I just set the bass/treble to where I like them and haven't touched it since. If you are looking at this bar/sub, the only real competition at this price range is the Klipsch, without the sub. I think it is a no-brainer to go with this one, considering the price and quality. My sense is that to really step up from this range you need to spend around a grand on a Samsung system. That's not for me, and I'm glad I got this. The sound bar/sub are fairly beefy, so if space is an issue, consider that. But otherwise, Amazon has done a fine job with this setup, so I would just do it.

Best soundbar I've ever had. Hooked it up to my Amazon fire tv and it instantly started playing. It literally took me 2 minutes to plug it in. Sound is crisp, subwoofer has great bass, remote for TV worked immediately so I only need 1 remote. What more could you ask for. Highly recommend!!

DISCLAIMER-I'm an A/V aficionado of over 25 years, and Klipsch has been my favorite brand by a wide margin for the past 15 years. I put a Fire TV and a Klipsch Cinema 400 soundbar in my office last week, and it was a quick-lived relationship. From me having to reset the TV, the soundbar, replace the HDMI and everything else to correct the soundbar not wanting to turn off... I was disappointed to say the least. And after 5 days of having no luck in troubleshooting, I had enough and returned it. A day later, the Amazon Fire TV Soundbar Plus arrived. I plugged it in and... that was it. I will say that while it should always be easier when you purchase items from the same company, it should always be this easy when you use a HDMI ARC port. Here's the big thing-the sound quality of the Fire TV Soundbar Plus was significantly better than Klipsch. The midrange feels full and not hollow, and the high end is crisp and make you feel like it could fill a room bigger than 12 X 14 without sounding like an alarm clock from the 80s that you turn the volume up past a certain point and all you get is garbled static and crackling. But the BASS? I knew Amazon's sound game was getting strong when I replaced my 7 year old Echo with a new one 8 months ago and heard a night and day difference in the bass, but I had no idea it was this next level. The bass is tight and CLEAR, and while it's not going to get anywhere near the 20 Hz threshold that separates the good from the great subs, the fact that it's handling everything I've thrown at it without sounding like it's about to distort says a lot about something the size of a miniature schnauzer. Klipsch has been my ride-or-die in the home theater and audio arena for 15 years, but if Amazon keeps going like they've shown me they can be with this Fire TV Soundbar Plus... well, just stay tuned!

Sounds great and works well with my firestick, but my samsung cable box won't recognize it. I have to run it off the samsung tv output. Volume adjustment is slow to respond at times.

Awesome sound bar. I highly recommend getting the sound bar and sub woofer. It makes such a difference. Super easy to hook up with hdmi cable that came with it and the subwoofer automatically connected no cable needed for it.

DOA - sub powered up but bar did not, worked through support doing basic swapping cords and outlets to no avail. Started return process based on customer support recommendation and had the worst return experience ever with Amazon. Got delivered to their receiving in a couple days and literally sat waiting for refund for weeks. Talked to customer service after a couple weeks and they said it would be in a few days and ended up taking another week plus. Not a cheap product to just sit for weeks adding up interest on the credit card waiting for the refund. Very disappointed and I wouldn't risk it knowing that they seemed really reluctant to refund the defective product.

I waited and waited for a version of the fire tv soundbar with Atmos and a subwoofer and imagine my surprise when it was released! Ordered it the day it went on sale and have it connected to my 50" fire tv Omni. A previous soundbar from an off brand called Ultimea had endless compatibility issues and it never worked right with the fire tv. This soundbar was effortless. Literally plug and play and it's good to go. Great sound and good bass without it being too overpowering. The only gripe is that's it's far larger than I expected so keep that in mind for your own space. A must buy if you have a fire tv!

Very impressed with this soundbar. Our hearing isn't what it used to be and this soundbar has taken the sound to a new level and much easier to hear.
