In my residence, I encountered a dead zone that significantly hindered my ability to obtain fast internet connectivity, which was quite frustrating given the reliance on the internet for various daily activities and work. Consequently, I made the decision to purchase this device, hoping to rectify the situation and restore seamless internet access throughout my home. I am thoroughly impressed with the device’s remarkable ability to provide me with fast internet access in previously inaccessible areas, such as the far corners of my living room and the bedrooms on the opposite side of the house. The product’s quality is exceptional, and it offers comprehensive coverage throughout my entire house, ensuring that every device, from my laptop to my smartphone, can connect to the internet without any issues. If you own a home spanning 1700 square feet, this device is highly recommended, as it effectively addresses the problem of dead zones and enhances overall internet connectivity. However, I must acknowledge that I did not read the instructions thoroughly, which was a mistake on my part. To achieve optimal performance, it is essential to connect the device to your home’s WiFi network and use the extender to extend the coverage, which I did not do initially. Unfortunately, I was unable to test the device without these components, so I cannot provide further assistance in this regard. It is crucial to follow the instructions to maximize the benefits of this device, and I would advise anyone considering purchasing it to read the manual carefully. I commend the creator for incorporating a QR code that allows users to guess the login credentials without disclosing their password, which is a thoughtful and secure feature. The device’s design is aesthetically pleasing, complementing the decor of my home, and it offers a convenient solution for those willing to invest in its premium price point. While the cost may be higher than some other options, the quality and performance justify the expense, making it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to improve their home internet connectivity.

I use this product with my 6+ and it does everything I needed it to do. I now have stronger Wi-Fi in areas that it was weak. Set up was easy on the eero app. A card in the box said to unplug the modem, but I don’t think that was necessary. It did take a while for my modem to start back up. I think you just need to go to add device.

Let's start saying that this product work as it is supposed and is very easy to setup but not all devices like them. I live in a typical Suburb House with a Basement, ground floor and upper level where there is a Home Office. I use AT&T fiber because is a Passive Optical Network and the modem can (and is) powered using a 12 VDC battery power supply. I have all NEST & RING cameras powered with batteries too and before eero I used MEDIALINK WiFi routers, that for several years worked great but each floor level had a different network and was really annoying to remember that sometimes we had to adjust the phone or tablet as we moved to different levels. These MEDIALINK devices also work with 12 VDC so in the event of an outage I got the peace of mind that neither the Internet service or my internal network will give me an outage. The last utility power issue we had left the house for 6 hours without power but we could still work on our laptops, tablets, etc. I decided on eero because of some reviews but also feedback from other users. For the initial setup each camera was hooked into a UPS to prevent issues until I could power them with batteries. The first thing I noticed when the system was setup is that a couple of NEST cameras, one YAMAHA receiver and my Canon 7500 printer did not like this network, had to temporarily stop the 5GHz section until these devices joined the network. After everything was setup I purchased some 12 VDC to USB power adapters so I could move the cameras to a more reliable power source. I picked the eero I installed in the basement for a try but to my surprise none of the adapters I purchased, some of them the same I use to power the Nest cameras, worked for the eero. As soon as I plug the USB-C cable to the eero a yellow light starts to blink indicating that there is a power supply problem. I also tried using different cables and USB power supplies, each one of them gave the same issue. I researched on the eero site and they do not offer a 12 VDC adapter and wont use a power inverter due to un efficiency. So far the eero devices are powered by APC UPSs but if a power outage hit us won't be able to get more than 20 minutes of power. This certainly the most concerning issue and from my perspective is a drawback for the eero design team.

Needed for Metronet connection. Works well. Does take a few times of unplugging and plugging in again before it connects. Dont know why, but its something to keep in mind if you purchase it. That way you wont think it is not working correctly. I think its a metronet issue and not the eero issue.
