I’ve had this device for around a year now and it’s deserved a review. Last fall, I upgraded my iPhone XR to an iPhone 15 Pro Max and have been using this for both phones. Even though the XR didn’t support MagSafe, I had a case that had the magnetic ring, allowing me to magnetically attach this to my phone and still being able to charge it wirelessly; and obviously I just use the MagSafe that comes with my 15. It’s able to give my 15 Pro Max around an 80% charge without using a cable, and can charge it fully with a little more power to spare with a cable. This is because wireless charging is a lot less (energy) efficient than charging with a standard cable. But sometimes the energy efficiency and practical efficiency aren’t the same. Sometimes, I just want to have this to either top up my phone, or to use if I forgot to charge it the night prior, so I just attach this to my phone and think nothing of it. It’s super nice and has a soft finish to the back of it that’s still mostly there over a year later. It’s light enough that you barely notice it’s on the back of your phone, and it’s really thin especially considering how much capacity this thing holds. I like how it charges as well as powers other devices with the USB-C, and I can even use it as a wireless charger when it’s connected to the wall outlet. Overall, Anker is a well-respected brand among chargers and portable chargers and this product is no exception.

I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Works perfect with it in emergencies. Sticks right on and stays on. Only issue I see is that while it’s on the phone, it’s charging the phone the whole time but I would say that it would only charge it maybe 70% or so. You won’t get a full charge to 100% out of it but if you are at 10%, it will charge it to 75-80%, all while using the phone, then you have that 75-80% to use after, so to me that is a solid charger. I do notice that it does tend to get a little warm after a while but not hot that it will burn you or make it uncomfortable. Just a little warm. Overall, it was an awesome buy, not too bulky, and will give you that emergency boost when you need it. Would definitely recommend.

I love this thing, definitely saved my butt a few times when I flew abroad. Charges relatively fast, but only down fall is the charge doesn’t last all that long. Though, it’s a portable, I can’t ask too much from it because it’s compact.

Admittedly I was not actively seeking to buy this, it was a $25 free overnight shipping buy, we’ve ALL been there okay.. but I actually am kind of in the middle with it. The magnets stick well, it feels nice the way that it’s made, but the charging..it charges your phone really slow and when you have to recharge it takes way too long. Portability is understandable for its slim design but not worth the burning sensation if your phone when it’s actually working. Not sure, I’ll probably just keep this as an emergency charger somewhere..if it’ll stay charged for that long without being used 😬

This works great. It’s a bit heavy, but most portable chargers are. It snaps on cleanly stays put, but it’s easy to remove- which comes in handy because it does run a bit hot. I recommend using it when you don’t need to also be holding your phone. It charged my phone from 20% to 60% in about an hour. I was using my phone during that time, and I expect it would charge faster/more fully if you don’t use your phone while it’s charging. Aesthetically, it’s apple-esque. I actually like the soft touch material so it’s easier to hold, and the blue is close to my iPhone, but not an exact match.

I bought the iPhone 15 Pro Max in September when it was first released. Being a loyal Anker customer, I also ordered the following: Magnetic Portable Charger, 511 Charger and the USB C fast Charger Blocks. I was pleased at first but had to toss the 511 after several months - it was great for travel but stopped working. A month later, so did one of the blocks. It’s not my phone or cables as I tested extensively not wanting to lose money and leave the Anker fan club. (Note I started my research running around the house trying different outlets.) Now, I’m shopping for a new portable charger as the magnetic Anker heats up HOT and so does my phone - can’t be good. It even left a mark on my Dania night stand. The only variable I haven’t eliminated is my Apple Clear Case with MagSafe for iPhone 15 Pro Max. Am I the only one? Would love to hear from buyers after 6+ months of use. I’m giving this 2 stars on the off hand chance it’s something else besides the products. Or maybe they pushed their products out too quickly without proper testing to coincide with the initial iPhone 15 release date. Anker - yo what’s up??? P.S. Needed to get one quick and I knew amazon would be the quickest way. It works and its great - I've had it for almost a year now. Fully charged, it can charge your phone from zero percent to like around 60. The magnet hold it has on the phone is also very strong which I like. It overheats like crazy tho and gets super hot super fast and STAYS hot so although its good other then that and I am still using it, I would spend a little more money and get one that doesn't burn my hand when I touch it lol
