I have spent the last 39 years in the animal welfare business. I have been a dog behavioral modification professional and trainer for 25 of those years. I have never seen any more effective product at preventing barking than this device. I have the great fortune to have a one year-one-year-old four breed mutt (dachshund, Chihuahua, basset hound, and beagle). All four breeds are infamous for their love of talking/yelling/barking at every sound outside the home and every animal or person that walks within 100 feet. Over the past 10 months I have used every single one of my training skills trying to modify my dog’s behavior with no success. I have been at my wits end for months and was ready to do the unthinkable and get a shock collar, a device which I consider cruel. I was searching for something, anything as an alternative and came across this bark box. Within minutes of turning it on my dog, saw the mailman pull up and let loose with the furious tirade. I gave him the no bark command, and he stopped almost instantly. I don’t leave it on all the time and only turn it on when I know the mailman’s coming or when the dogs behind my house start barking. After three days, I’ve turned it on five times and the barking stops instantly. Now, when he ignores the no bark command, I merely have to show him the box or even say I’m gonna get the box and he stops barking immediately. I want to buy this product again just so I can give it five more stars. I can tell you as a very long time professional in behavioral modification I have witnessed a miracle. I have already contacted all 25 local vets that I’ve worked with in the past 20 years in the Charleston South Carolina area and told them about this product and asked them to recommend it to everyone that walks through their doors that has a problem with barking dogs. I’ve also contacted none local shelters and rescue organization; all of of which have hired my services at one time or another as a behavioral modification specialist and trainer. I took the box down to our largest shelter yesterday afternoon, and took it into the dog viewing room. If you’ve ever been to a shelter and walked through the area where all the dogs are kept for people to adopt you know that every time the door opens, you’re met with a cacophony of barking as every dog vies for your attention. I turned the box to the first setting and within 15 seconds all 43 dogs had gone quiet. To the manufacturer of this device start looking for a lot of orders to come in from the Charleston South Carolina area. To those of you who purchased this device, please use it as a training tool only. I don’t know what these dogs are hearing when this box is turned on, but I’m confident it does not hurt them, however, it clearly makes them uncomfortable. Use it with a no bark command, and please only use it when necessary. Within days, you will have an entirely different animal living with you. I also sat the device on the top of my privacy fence and turned it facing the 2 yards behind me, and whenever my neighbor’s dogs approached the fence and started barking they stopped within seconds. Bought this a few days ago after I received a complaint about my dogs barking incessantly while I was away at work. And it worked almost immediately. My dogs aren’t barking at every strange noise they hear, or at the other neighborhood dogs anymore. There will be a bark here and there but still a major improvement.

This device is definitely very effective! I have two large, mixed breed large dogs. One is a German Shepherd/Border Collie and the other is a German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees. I got frustrated with their constant barking at night, and this device has been extremely effective in curbing the barking. My complaint is that it triggers far too easily and possibly makes the dogs miserable with it going off constantly.
