This is an exceptional dehumidifier that has far out performed my expectations. The EO80 was integrated with the1st floor HVAC equipment located on the 2nd floor in a large conditioned utility room. The HVAC units main return (18") comes through the floor and over the top of the furnace and air handler. With a little studying of the well written installation instructions the integration went well. I used metal 90 degree turns for connection coming into the EO80 and into the HVAC return. I took the incoming air from the main return by using a 3' length of 18" metal duct with a 10" take off. In the approximately 2 weeks it has been running the humidity on the first floor has dropped from the high 60s to the mid 50s. The unit is far quieter than I was expecting. The big surprise is the utility room's humidity has also dropped as well as my wood shop next to the utility room. The wood shop and the rest of the 2nd floor are conditioned by a dedicated upstairs HVAC unit. I do not know what the impact will be on my utility bill since both the HVAC blower and dehumidifier are running constantly at this point but I have reduced the temperature of both the upstairs and downstairs HVAC units and the cabinet doors don't stick, the air feels less "sticky' and we are very comfortable. We still may need another unit on the 2nd floor but for right now we couldn't be happier.

I've gone through multiple other brand dehumidifiers for my encapsulated crawl space. I decided to trial a known quality machine and this one has been working flawlessly for two weeks. I suspended it from the ceiling in the crawl space and can not hear it in my living room or bed room. It brought the humidity from 65% to 55% in just a few hours and since I set it at 45% it has held that through the heat and humidity we are seeing this year in central VA. It is a solid unit that if desired can be ducted in line with your central air. Remote controls are available though I don't have the need for them. The only remaining question will be how long it lasts and I'm expecting many years.

We recently installed this AprilAire E080 dehumidifier in our four-story, 3,200 sq. ft. townhome in hot and humid Houston. Before installation, the fourth floor was constantly muggy, no matter how low we set the thermostat, with humidity levels consistently above 70%. After installing this unit, the humidity dropped to a steady 50%, making the entire home feel significantly cooler and more comfortable. This dehumidifier was well worth the investment—not only for comfort but also for reducing wear and tear on our AC units. If you’re struggling with humidity issues, I highly recommend it!

I bought an AprilAire E080 Pro Dehumidifier from CrawlSpace-DYI about three months ago. Amazon said delivery would be in about 3 days, but it took 9 days by UPS. Aprilaire has a great reputation for dehumidifiers and has great phone tech support. It’s a great dehumidifier from a great brand at a great price. I put mine in the crawl space under our house. You can set it to maintain a certain relative humidity level, but then it goes on every 60 minutes to sample the air. I wanted to shut it off at night so I don’t hear it humming in our bedroom when we sleep. Instead of crawling under the house, my work-around was to put a cheap wifi smart plug on it so that I can program it on and off with my cellphone. I also put a wifi remote thermometer with humidity reading down there so I can see when the humidity is high enough to turn it on. Some times of the year the humidity is fine without running it.

This unit runs almost continously. Im not sure if its even operating correctly. The sq. Ft. It is operating within is about 25% of what it is rated for. It seems to always be running.

This thing just works, that's all you need to know. I know it costs 3x more than a cheap one, but you get what you pay for.

This dehumidifier is great. It arrived on time, was packaged well, and was exactly what I purchased. Installing was a breeze. It included everything needed to unbox and install. It was producing a good amount of water quickly. I would recommend.
