Man what a lifesaver! I knew Bissell made good deep cleaning products but this one is extraordinary! I had some old coffee stains on my carpet that had been there for weeks that came out a little with soap and water but this machine took it all out of my carpet in minutes. Would highly recommend to anyone with similar stain issues!

The old green machine I'm replacing with this has got to be closing in on 10 years old at this point, and I'm happy to say this seems like a good upgrade if you have one of the older models. We haven't had any pet cleanups needed since getting this but it did clean up some canvas patio furniture with ease. Right off the bat the best improvement has to be that the cleaning solution is maintained in a completely separate reservoir than the water, this allows you to rinse things without wasting cleaning solution if you desire. There is a switch that allows you to toggle spraying just water or water+cleaner on the tank. It also has a built in "cleaning" mode which sprays cleaner directly into the nozzle, time will tell how effective this is. This unit is quieter than my old one as well, but I suspect these all get louder over time. The heating is a nice touch as well but I'm not sure how big of a difference it makes in the end. I did check the temperature of the spray coming out with the heat on and it was around 95F, vs the 120F claimed. Overall this was the only thing this didn't deliver on and to me that's not a deal breaker. One issue I had was removal of the waste water tank, it does not pop up straight like the clean water tank does but you have to first tilt it to the side before it will release which confused me for a bit but that's my fault for not reading the instructions I'm sure.

I'm no novice when it comes to cleaning carpets. Over the last 5 years or so, I've ordered and owned a slew of these devices and a bunch of upright Bissell carpet cleaners as well. For a while, I was fostering puppies for a local dog guide organization. Eventually, we ended up with three of our own dogs, a Labrador and two Golden Retrievers, and we also have a now 18 year old cat. Through all of it, we've dealt with lots of poop, pee, vomit and muddy paw prints on the carpets and have had to use all our tools to get the carpets and rugs clean. You may wonder why I keep ordering new ones ... well in part because I'm still looking for the ideal one. Regarding the brand, Bissell. I think they make great and innovative product, but they are not always designed well. Several of my spot cleaner machines have had issues with broken tubes. They have broken at the base where the tube leaves the machine. I've dealt with Bissell support and though the machines are good, there support is not. They really only look in a manual and repeat what it says there. The representatives do not know the products and they cannot really troubleshoot or provide any actual support. In the case of the broken tube, Bissell didn't sell a replacement part and from their standpoint, the machine would have to be replaced (on my dime since it was out of warranty). I was lucky and found a third party part on Amazon and fixed it myself with the help of a local Repair Cafe. This was definitely a known issue as many people had reported breaks in this same spot and yet Bissell didn’t sell the part. I still find that hard to believe. In another case, the nozzle got incredibly dirty and I tried everything to clean it. It couldn't actually be opened to rinse it properly. Later models addressed this (and also the issue of cleaning the tubing), but at least one machine was marred by being unable to be properly cleaned. Regardless of the issues though, the machines are incredibly helpful at getting pet stains (and other stains) out of carpets. This machine is smaller than the BISSELL SpotClean PetPro I have been using. That makes it much easier to cart around the house and to store. It also is the first machine I've had (other than upright carpet cleaners) that has a hot water option. Given that most messes don't require a full tank of water, it's handy to have the smaller machine. I've kept the old one in the basement and had to climb down two flights most of the time to get it. This machine will fit more easily in a convenient closet upstairs. Also, though I haven't used it extensively yet, the hot water will definitely help clean some stains. I know heat sets certain stains, but urine and vomit will likely benefit from quick use of warmer water. I've tested it out and you do need to run it for about 30 seconds to run out the cooler water that's already in the line, but the water afterwards is warm. Also, this is the first unit I've had in which you put the solution on one side and the water on the other and it mixes them together. I've never really known how much solution to use so it's kind of nice to have the decision made by the machine. I guess over time, I will decide if I prefer to use less solution and I can always go back to mixing it myself. This machine comes with two tools. One is the standard brush though this is a pretty wide 4" one. I've had both this size and a smaller one and I definitely prefer the larger. It also has a Specialized Pet Hair Removal Tool which I've never had before. I'll report back if I find it especially useful. I think the standard one will be my go to for most stains. FYI, my dog recently chewed a black pen/marker on my off white carpet and Bissell saved the day. We were able to get the entire stain out. It was primarily in two areas ... both big blotches of ink and then trails of ink elsewhere. I thought we might have to replace the carpet when I saw it and am still shocked we were able to clean it and so well. I put up with the issues with Bissell support because their products have saved me from huge messes like this one.

Really pulled the dirt out of the carpet. You could see how well it was doing by looking at the solution being vacuumed up. Super easy to dump the dirty water and refill the clean tank. Well-designed unit was compact, light, and easy to carry around. All the tools store on the vacuum. I think it works best for small areas as the tanks empty and fill fast. I was able to clean several pet stains before emptying and refilling. For my use, it worked best when I was down on the carpet using the vacuum, so it does take some effort to use. I plan use the vacuum to clean carpeted stairs too since its is so easy to handle. Overall, I am impressed by this little cleaner as it did a great job cleaning new and old pet stains.

This machine has been a blessing with carpet cleaning/stains. I haven't been able to use a full sized carpet cleaner in years with pain pushing the large ones around. This one I can get down and spot clean areas one at a time until the carpet looks nice again or clean up as the messes are made. It's much easier for me to sit in the floor and clean than to push the heavy shampoo cleaners around. I have gone over the carpets near the front door, the area near the trash in the dining room, the hallway, the walkway from the kitchen to the dining room, and a few other spots that were high traffic or high spill areas. Not ideal if you can use full sized machines, but great for someone looking for alternatives. It does a great job to clean one small area at a time which works great for my limitations. It does a wonderful job at cleaning and pulls all the water straight back into the machine, unlike spot cleaning with a bucket and scrub brush. It works on furniture as well and helped renew my recliner. I love that it can be stored in a small space or under the sink and pulled out for any small job. It's pretty easy to fill, use, clean, and store.

Buyer beware. The rubberized attachment is on the picture as included in the box, but it was not. I called Amazon and they say they can’t replace missing parts. I called Bissell and they said Amazon is wrong and the unit does not come with the part and wanted to charge me $50 to get one. Amazon is guilty of false advertising here.
