I need a super lightweight iron and this fits the bill but heated up well and did the job. Good value for the low price. I had a Black and Decker similar to this that lasted 15 years and I do a lot of quilting.

For the most part, I like the iron because decently priced, lightweight and gets very hot. That which I don't like is IF you fill the water holder for steam more than halfway (if that) as you begin to move the iron forward and backward, especially forward, the water splashes out unto your garment or whatever you're ironing. Now. that's ok, I suppose, if you are ironing cotton, but beware if it's silk or other delicate fabrics. Just make sure your water holder is clear of ALL water. Otherwise, you might ruin your item with water spots. Now that I know what can happen, I 'll keep the iron but be sure and iron accordingly.

I used to dread ironing. It was such a chore, and my old iron was so heavy and clunky. But then I got this BLACK+DECKER Easy Steam Compact Iron, and it's made a world of difference. First of all, it's so lightweight. I can easily iron a whole basket of clothes without my arm getting tired. And the nonstick plate just glides over fabric. No more snagging or wrinkles. But the best part is the automatic shutoff. I can't tell you how many times I've left the house and worried that I left my old iron on. With this one, I don't have to worry at all. It shuts itself off after a few minutes of inactivity. I also love the steam feature. It helps to get wrinkles out quickly and easily. And the iron heats up really fast. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this iron. It's made ironing so much easier and less of a chore. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I should’ve spent the extra money and bought this brand name iron from the start. I had to throw the cheap one out and get this which is perfect. Is good weight, sturdy not cheap and plastic like other brands. The cord is nice and long as well as flexible. I highly recommend this iron

Works well, but is terribly balanced when resting. Never had an iron consistently topple over if not carefully placed in its resting position and unfortunately it's not durable enough to survive a good fall. First solid fall off the ironing table and the iron started leaking water more and making weird sounds during use. Second time it fell admittedly from placing it at the top of a cabinet, the plate cracked. It's good value, just always carefully place it down. Ifyou're more clumsy, might be worth getting something less lightweight and more balanced.

Used it for good 2 years after which it stopped working lol. 20 dollars for 2 years. Worth the price.

The auto off feature was my "done deal". I am more then satisfied. Light weight and works well
