I am a pet owner who is OCD about my floors, and I was a housekeeper for many years. I have used this vacuum for about 6 months now, and I LOVE IT. A few things I want to point out: First of all, with any cordless vacuum you are not going to get the same power or suction as a corded vacuum, period. Manage your expectations - you are trading suction power for the convenience of having no cord. Cordless vacuums are great for quick, daily upkeep in between your full cleaning days (where you should be using a regular corded vacuum). I got this vacuum because we recently got a bunny, and therefore introduced a lot of hay - and a LOT more fur - into our home. This thing picks up anything and everything, and works great on our hardwood, low pile rugs, and high pile carpeted bedrooms. We use it every evening for at least 10 or 15 minutes straight on the high setting, and it doesn't run out of juice. Some of my favorite things about it: 1) It is easy to unclog. As an ex housekeeper, this is everything to me. Like I said, we use this mainly to pick up hay that our rabbit has scattered around. Inevitably, long bits of hay will get wrapped around the brush and cause a clog. We know and expect this to happen, considering the abuse we put this thing through. This vacuum has a simple, effective design that makes it easy to take apart and clean/unclog. The brush easily detaches with a button on the side of the head, and you can look down the neck to spot where the clog is. Since most people aren't vacuuming hay on the regular, you really shouldn't need to take this vacuum apart often. But if you need to, its nice to not spend hours fussing around, unscrewing parts, cursing like a sailor, and watching YouTube videos on how to put your vacuum together again. The design of this vacuum really is so simple and user friendly. 2) It DOES stand up on its own. You just need to make sure you hear a click sound when you move the neck and handle to the upright position. 3) It's very lightweight. I don't get fatigued using it or carrying it around. 4) Good battery life. I am able to use this on the high setting for a quick once over of my entire ~1300 sq ft. home (with hardwoods, rugs, and carpets) before I need to recharge. If you have a larger home, again, manage your expectations. 5) The handheld option and attachment is very convenient. I love to use it for sucking up the dust and dead bugs that get stuck in the tracks of our windows and sliding glass door. My not-so-favorite things about it: 1) The low setting is basically useless. Even on hardwood floors, it doesn't seem to do much. I always go immediately to the high setting. 2) The dust cup falls forward when you press the button to remove it. The first time you do it, it will feel like the thing practically jumps out to attack you. Just remember to have one hand on the clear canister part when you press the release button. It's really not a big deal, but it did surprise me the first time I went to empty it. Overall its a great little vacuum. Perfect for our evening tidying up before we go to bed, and its a quick and easy grab for random spills/messes. For a deeper, more thorough clean I will always rely on my corded Shark vacuum. For literally everything else, this B&D cordless vac is a winner. 10/10. You don't need to break the bank on a Dyson, I promise. If you have one really good cordless vac (this one), and one really good corded vac (I recommend the Shark Navigator Lift-Away), you won't need anything else.

I bought this cordless stick vac 13 months ago and so far it's still going strong. Battery life still lasts about the same as when it was brand new ~35 minutes. The suction has been great and picks up all the crumbs in the kitchen and the cat hair and everything else on the hardwood floors and a low pile area rug. I wouldn't recommend using this vac on a medium or high pile rug, it just isn't built for them. Not only will it wear down the batteries quickly, I can see it eventually burning out the motor. This vac has been a great purchase for me but like anything in life YMMV.

I got this used at half the price. What can I say, it's a lightweight battery powered vacuum but it''s especially nice in that it stands on its own so you don't have to mount it and it does a very creditable job of minor vacuum messes. It has two features that make it very useful. One is that it has LED lights that really help you to see what is and isn't picked up; the other is that it automatically adjust the suction speed for carpets or bare floors. The second is a little bit hit and miss, but overall its useful. I mostly use it for cat litter getting tracked on Saltillo tile floors and its been terrific for that. The lights make the litter almost florescent, so it's easy to see if you miss something and it works better than any other vacuum for the uneven surface. But it does a good job on my area rugs as well. The capacity of the storage cup is pretty small but it's adequate and it's easier to empty and clean than other low cost battery vacuums I've used.

I’ve owned this vacuum for about a year and am leaving a review because this is the information I was looking for when choosing to buy it. This is a stellar little vacuum for daily or maintenance cleanings. The battery lasts about 40 minutes and the performance is quite good. I’ve used the Dyson stick vacuums and while not quite as good, for the cost savings this feels like a stellar value. The light makes it easy to see dust and other debris, and so long as you hear the click the vacuum can actually stand upright (unlike the Dyson which loves to fall over). The articulation on the standing attachment foot of the vacuum is great, you can get underneath low sofas and beds really easily, the manuverability is great all around, especially for table legs and corners. It does very well on hard wood floors, decently on tile and well on carpets. It’s not painfully loud, and the auto sensing suction thing seems to work well enough. The sponge filter at the top is easy to clean, as is the canister. I don’t have pets so I can’t speak to its capabilities for fur, but it does a great job of picking up hair and the roller on the bottom is easily removed to dislodge any trapped hairs. My two complaints (though minor) are that I wish the holder had the cable integrated better for storage, and that sometimes gravel can get caught in the spinning wheel and scratch the floor slightly before getting sucked up into the canister. I love using this to clean up things like onion skins in the kitchen or after using a dust mop to corral the dirt to one spot and picking it up with the vacuum along with dust clinging to the mop. If you’re in a small house or apartment this is probably the perfect option. I think if you have pets and kids it might still be a good option for daily maintenance, but will not replace an old fashioned corded vacuum for serious performance. I would buy this instead of a Dyson personally, as I feel that the performance is acceptably comparable and the cost savings are far worthwhile, and am pleased that a year later there are no issues to report after weekly use

Me encanto y más por el costo, es facil de utilizar, se ve de buena calidad y la presión para aspirara todo es muy buena. Sólo que la pila dura poco, como media hora, pero de todo lo demás esta super bien.

I've never used a Dyson but I can't afford it even on sale! I have 2 other B&D hand vacs on each floor of my house so my kids clean up after themselves. I bought this vacuum because I'm tired of the central vacuum setup and weight. Make no mistake this vacuum can't beat a central vacuum but it's light and easy. Battery life mattered most as it takes 40 minutes and this lasts exactly that! It depletes just as I finish the last corner. Easy to clean the canister and the brush head. The negatives is that the brush head is very light. I prefer some weight to keep the head aligned in the direction I'm pushing it. This head flip flops side to side when going under furniture. The battery and ease of use made it worth buying. Update July 2024. The carpet/floor sensor doesn't work well. Battery life has fallen by a few minutes. I don't care for the sensor as I use the floor mode first then the carpet mode. This method seems to conserve power.

This thing is awesome. I live in a two bedroom apartment with no carpets and it's perfect. If you have thick carpets, the battery will die before you can finish the job. That is why the price is so much lower. I always finish with vacuuming the entryway mat, and that really takes a toll on the battery. Hardwood floors = no problem. Suction power is great, emptying the dirt is easy and the LED light on the front is a nice touch.

...and 40 mins estimated use instead of 44 mins. But the biggest concern is that it uses a small 2-hole adapter that plugs near the handle instead of just having charging connectors / pins like most rechargeable vacuums. Worried that the plug won't last long enough with having to plug and unplug it many times to charge. Will return it most likely.
