I absolutely adore this book. It's high contrast, so it's perfect for newborns. And the design to make it fold out is great for putting it on the floor with the baby for tummy time. The pictures are gorgeous. I love that we can introduce animals to our baby. I know her understanding is limited right now at 7 weeks, but I foresee this book being a favorite for the next year or two. Right now, at her very young age, I love seeing how she stares at the images. It holds her attention for ages because of the high contrast. This is a beloved book in our house. I'll be buying more by the author for my baby because they are perfect for introducing basic words/ concepts. And for me, I just love the beautiful paintings. I hope the author makes more newborn books like this that are high contrast and work for tummy time. Highly recommend having this book the day your baby comes home from the hospital.

I absolutely love this book for so many reasons! It’s got beautiful illustrations, the pages are very high contrast, and the layout of the book makes it super easy to prop up during tummy time. I’ve gifted this book to so many new moms to be at their baby showers as well. Can’t wait to purchase more of Tabitha Paige’s books! :)
