Click to play video I ordered this to replace my plastic cutting boards. Loved it initially but after 3 weeks of use it''s beginning to crack. Now, in my busy house a well-meaning person ran it through the dishwasher one time. Would one time make it crack? I'm loading it with wood oil hoping to restore this Freshware Bamboo cutting board.

This is a very substantial cutting board. It's well made, a bit heavy (good), and stands up well to knives.

It's been 4 years since I used it. The surface is still fine but cracks are beginning to occur. Is it a characteristic of wood?

Really sturdy and hasn't warped yet. A bit heavy so drying can get a bit cumbersome in our drying rack. The indentation helps a lot with capturing liquids from food. Haven't done any heavy chopping yet on it, ie breaking down a chicken with a cleaver but so far everything else done to it hasn't damaged or ruined it.

Doesn’t seem to have a sealed coating so the texture isn’t that smooth.

Excellent cutting board! I've been using this for several months and it still has lots of life left in it. No cracking or warping like the cheaper quality boards.
