We have used these for over 5 years in multiple locations at two separate houses. They are totally waterproof and they provide a lot of light when activated by their internal motion sensors. For our needs the batteries last between 1 and two years. I have given these as gifts to family and friends also and everyone loves them. Simple but very useful and durable.

Light was east to open/close to insert batteries, and easy to install. It was also highly reliable/responsive to motion and very BRIGHT! I gave it 4 stars though, because exactly (to the week) 3 years later, the light stopped and (as other reviewers have noted) even with a complete fresh battery change, it never worked again. When I opened the housing 3 years later, it did seem surprisingly waterproof (few drops of water in the outer housing only) -and I live on the coast where the rain is so often strong-wind driven. Overall, am satisfied enough to order an new one of these, but I hate that I have to just through away all this plastic because the light stopped working after 3 years.

We recently purchased a shed to go in our back yard. The shed is located a decent distance from our house and since it is not wired for electricity, we needed something that would provide some light if we were to go out back at night/dusk. This light unit had some very good reviews and was listed at a reasonable price so we decided ordered it. After we installed the batteries, I proceeded to go mount the light on the shed. I decided to place it high near the peek and under the overhand on the front of the shed. Since I was mounting it on the outside I wanted to make sure that I used screws which would not rust. Screws were provided in the box but I could not determine if they were stainless so I opted for some dark grey deck screws I had on hand. I removed the light from the mounting base to make the installation go smoothly. I pre-drilled holes for the screws after marking the placement with a pencil through the openings. Once drilled, I screwed the base to the shed and attached the light to the base tightening the thumb screw once the angle and proper position were achieved. I made sure to position the light first (prior to securing with screws) with the light fully assembled to ensure that I had enough clearance to remove the light down the road when the batteries need to be changed. After it was dark, I went out to see how well it was going to work. The motion sensor picked me up about 15-18 feet away from the shed and the LED lights shined to a radius well over that. It was nice and bright. After a few minutes the light went out, but as soon as I moved, it popped back on. I think this will be a good addition to the shed. It will help me see at night and will help deter any thieves should they try to sneak up on it. Overall, I am very satisfied. I typically do a lot of research on products before I make a purchase and rely heavily on other peoples reviews prior to buying an item. Recently, I have become more active in leaving my own feedback so others may benefit. I hope that you found this review helpful and informative.

These were purchased to illuminate our driveway when we return home after dark. They were also intended to light up the area when motion is detected around the cars during the night. Installation was into brick on either side of the front of the garage. The lights include screws and anchors which meant I only needed a drill and masonry bit to complete the install. Each light requires 4 D batteries, and this added an addition $20 to the install. I was initially concerned this could get expensive over time, but it was 2 years before I needed to replace the batteries in the one of the two closer to the entrance of our home, which sees more traffic than the other. Very impressive! The motion sensors are a bit sensitive, but given their purpose, I'd rather this than the opposite. The illumination is more than ample to light our way and allow our wireless camera full visibility of any activity in the area. While these aren't the prettiest light fixtures we've ever seen, they work great, last long, and after 2 years in operation have proven to be very reliable. Very much worth the money!

necesitaba iluminar la entrada de la vivienda para poder abrir la puerta (buscar la llave, etc..) y no queria tener que hacer ninguna instalacion de cableado. foco perfecto, se adapta a cualquier situación, detecta la presencia a 360º, en mi caso tube que tapar parcialmente el detector para que los transeuntes no enciendan la luz al pasar por la acera. Se instala en menos de 5 minutos y da mucha luz, perfecto.

4 big batteries needed for this one - and they seemed to last a reasonable amount of time. I really wish I could adjust the amount of time the light stays on though- as I find I am not always directly in its movement beam but am still needing the light to do something .. obviously the longer it's on the shorter the battery life - but it would be nice if that was a choice I could make.

I rarely give anything a five star, I’m also rarely impressed....These motion light are absolutely great, they are very bright and perfect sensitivity at long range, I have four Duracell coppertop, good for -20, they work great, last forever since the lights do not come on during the day, they also don’t get any easier to install, three screws, only one issue that’s not really a issue, I’d like to see an on off button, so if I’m drinking with the buddies on the porch I can shut it of, however I’ll just pull a battery.....I Highly recommend this product
