This is a real time saver! The skimmer pretty much ran 24/7 during the summer months in my pool. Well, the last month and a half of summer, since that's when I bought it. This picks up leaves, frogs, bugs, and tiny little stuff that you don't even realize is floating on the surface. The clean-up is simple and takes less than a minute. I power it off, lift the release flap, take the basket out, dump the contents, and hose it off, then slip the basket back in, close it up, turn it on, and let it go back to work. I need to find a solution to my chlorine floater getting stuck in the front of it, but when I'm out there, I just throw it out of the way. Now that it's winter, and the sun isn't out as much, there isn't a lot of charge to let it run. I wait a few days then power it on and let it go around the pool until it stops and then let it charge again for a few days. My husband is happy that we got this, because it's cut down a lot on his pool maintenance as well. I haven't had it a year yet, but I'm hoping for the amount of money I spent, that it will last a while! It's worth it!

Works great at picking up debris (bugs, leaves, etc) when the pump is not running. Even collects small particles you typically don’t see floating on the surface. Solar and battery life is good as well. Also navigates stairs and ladder without much effort. Worth the spend.

After 6 months: Works as advertised. Well made parts. Solar power works 24 hours. Lift handle tilted up to prevent debris going back in to pool. Can get stuck in shallow spots and pool skimmer hole. Good value and saves time. Can improve by creating a funnel shaped entry into the skimmer.

On one side it works and doing its job well, collect debris, quiet, etc On other it cannot survive night, charge runs out, cannot properly get in sleep when charge out, so just drains battery completely and then it cannot start in the morning. Doing this creepy sounds. Cranking, like trying to start and unable. Have tk wait few hours for it to change and then restart w a switch. Highly inconvenient. It does not seen anyone actually tested this thing as a whole usability cycle. It could be a real killer product. Edit. Stopped working after 3 weeks. Runs for min or two (fully charged), then stops w loud clicking noises. Something w catching wheel, it’s for some reason running backwards. Edit2: replacement part runs fine for a year. Starts in the morning itself, runs deep into the night. Amazing product. 2 things though, I have shallow steps in my pool and there is narrow, 1/8-1/16in water level range when this thing manages to stuck. Front pins are not long enough to prevent coming over shallow space, but back is deep enough to stuck. Second thing is it’s often stuck next to a skimmer. It seems like my pump is powerful enough on high setting to suck it to the skimmer.

This little robotic skimmer has been working up and down my pool since day one. The very fine net in the canister traps the smallest floating debris without a problem and it is super easy to clean. Now I only hope that it will last a long time.

I wasn’t too sure this would be as good as some other options I saw online. It’s been a game changer. I was constantly skimming the pool during summer swim season while trying to swim. This works constantly takes most of the work out of it. Just have to empty it a couple times a day if it’s a windy day. Makes less work for our vacuum too as it helps keep some debris from sinking. Just clean the solar panel part when it gets dirty. Low maintenance and awesome!!!!! One of my best pool purchases.

1. Me gustó que deja limpia la alberca, aunque tarda en hacerlo y hay que estarla guiando para que lo haga bien y mejore su eficiencia. 2. Me gustó que sea un robot inteligente y se maneje de forma autónoma. 3. Me gustó que se cargue con energía solar al mismo tiempo que trabaja y no necesita baterías o corriente eléctrica y espero que dure funcionando durante muchos años. 4. No me gustó que se atasca en algún punto y ahí se queda dejando de recoger la basura de la superficie de la alberca. 5. Tampoco me gustó que la parte frontal por donde recoge la basura no queda sumergida lo suficiente, y en ocasiones no recoge toda la basura cuando pasa por esa área y también le cuesta trabajo recoger la basura que está en las orillas de la alberca. Por lo anterior considero que la parte del frente debería de estar un par de centímetros más sumergida.

Started off great and the pool was very clean but after 2 solid months of running its very noisy, almost like the bearings in the propeller are gone. Its off now and will probably go in the bin.
