My whole house is equipped with Blink cameras. This set was to finish out the outside of the house and they were a breeze to install. The mounting brackets for both the doorbell and the outdoor cameras was super easy to screw into the wood and vinyl siding, making for a sturdy install. The software is super easy to use and allowed me to adjust motion areas so that my front doorbell wasn't picking up the street. The outdoor cameras come with a hub that is mounted in the home for them to connect to which was easy to setup and install. The picture is great and I love the ease of arming and disarming the outside cameras so that I can see who is coming and going from my home while I'm not there. Blink's service is only $10 per month for unlimited cameras and recordings so I have all the cloud storage I want for all the cameras I have. So far, I have 7 cameras and over 2000 videos stored and they just roll off after being stored for 90 days. I can go back and look at any old video I want and I love it. LOVE my Blink cameras!

I understood the Blink camera required batteries, but I mistakenly assumed the wired doorbell wouldn't. Unlike other brands, the Blink doorbell requires batteries even with a wired connection. This is a significant drawback, as a doorbell is a frequently used device, and relying on non-rechargeable batteries seems impractical. Conversely, I'm satisfied with the battery-powered security cameras. Since I primarily use them in passive mode, I anticipate the batteries lasting the advertised two years. The wireless design also greatly simplified installation. While the cameras' battery operation is acceptable due to less frequent use, the doorbell's battery dependency is a major concern. Requiring batteries for a wired doorbell is a design flaw that impacts usability and convenience. It's a key factor to consider before purchasing.

I purchased this after using a competitor brand video doorbell for several years. The old one began to charging incompletely and not lasting very long. Also, it would no longer detect any motion on my front porch. When I had my storm door shattered by someone, it didn't pick up the intruder. I've had blink cameras for around 3 years now, and the have worked flawlessly. I raise goats and the cameras always pick up stray dogs in the middle of the night or anyone around any corner of my house. The quality is so much better than my former video camera. The live footage, unlike my former doorbell, is not grainy or difficult to see at night. With the Blink doorbell, it was simple to set up. It practically does everything on its own. I already had the synch module running my other Blink cameras, so it connected to it within a second or two. This one works on a dual band system, whereas my old one was 2.4 Ghz only. This one, compared to my old camera, takes two (2) Lithium batteries, like my other Blink cameras, and so far they have all lasted for 3 years. The Blink app is very user friendly. I can monitor when I home or alone with Alexa, or the app. I was able to view my cameras last year from Honduras, Mexico and Belize! We're taking a trip to Alaska in a month or so, and I feel confident and comfortable enough for these to do their job. Overall, I am very pleased with this Doorbell and Camera combo. I recommend it to all my friends and family!

I live in an apt so I really like the wireless option and simple mounting. Installation was quick and easy and setting up the hub took 2 minutes. It does a decent job of collecting clips but it's not a continuous rolling stream. It starts when motion is detected and only runs for a few seconds so you may miss someone which is why it's great to have 2 running. If one misses the other one will likely catch the action. If you want super high quality go Ring or Nest, but if you just want a heads up that someone's coming this works great. Picture quality is fine. I hope I never need it for this, law enforcement should be able to easily identify people as long as the porch light is on. Only downside is you need a subscription if you want to store clips or buy separate box, and the doorbell only works with subscription. No big deal just be aware. For the price it's hard to beat.
