I really like this Beef Tallow Balm. I will admit I have never used beef tallow before and I didn’t even know what the heck it was. It just sounds weird, but I read some of the ingredients, my favorite manuka honey, and thought I would give it a try. It’s different, I really like how soft my hands feel after using it. You only need to use small amounts of it. It has a gritty smooth feeling to it while applying it, don’t worry it dissolves. As far a smell, it hardly has any and I am very sensitive to smells. I can’t really even describe what it is, perhaps it’s a sweet smell, anyway… I am really glad I got this and will continue to use it; I like the results.

Okay, so let’s talk about this beef tallow balm. First of all, the packaging? Surprisingly luxe. I opened the box expecting something simple, and instead, it felt like I had just unwrapped a fancy little apothecary treasure. It was packed securely and looked like it meant business—no dents, no spills, no drama. Just the way I like it. Now onto the balm itself. It’s rich, creamy, and thick in all the right ways. I was also surprised by how generous of an amount comes in the jar. A little really does go a long way with this stuff. It melts and absorbs into the skin beautifully and doesn’t just sit there being greasy. It soaks in and leaves everything soft, smooth, and super nourished.

I love the ingredients of this Body Restore beef tallow. All clean ingredients, no chemicals at all. They advertise this tallow as whipped. To me, it felt like melted buttercream icing. Not really whipped but not exactly smooth either. Mine also had a grit to it that dissolved upon application. It is also advertised as unscented but it definitely has a weird scent to it; I am assuming from the tallow. It is soothing to dry skin but definitely leaves a greasy feel on your skin after. For the price and size of this (2.5 ounces), I cannot say this is the best value out there.

Whipped, creamy beef tallow with manuka honey for dry skin. Great for elbows, hands, knees, and feet. Soft, smooth, fully absorbs and leaves no greasy after feel. A little bit goes a long way. Excellent for dry or chapped skin.

I'm a big fan of beef tallow based skin care products. I wanted to try one that was more for the body and hands than the face. This unscented one seemed like just the right thing and I liked that it contains Manuka Honey. The jar comes I a box. The only seal is the inside seal of the jar under the lid which was well sealed but peeled open easily. The texture is a bit greasier and thicker than other tallow based skin care I've tried. Kind of like a whipped body butter/balm texture. A little goes a long way. It did take a few minutes to absorb into the skin on the backs of my hands where I tried it first. Once absorbed it left my skin smooth and a little water resistant, which will be good for washing dishes by hand, gardening, or just holding in moisture on a day to day basis. My job requires frequent hand washing and my skin can easily become dry and crack. This will help. It has no added scent but does have a slight scent that is sweet and a bit spicy from the Manuka honey. This also contains Cocoa Butter and Jojoba seed oil both known to be good for the skin. Over all I like this one especially for very dry/rough skin and areas other than the face. If you are looking for a product for working hands, elbows, heels, and dry patches give this one a try. At the current price of $19 for a 2.5 oz bottle of a product that should last (a little goes a long way) it's a good value.

This is a great lotion/balm for your body, hands, and or face. I use it for my face. It has little to no smell, which is perfect. I find it way better than your standard lotion.

I would love to be able to review the actual product, but I cannot ask for a replacement and it arrived all over the packaging. Seems like it would have been a wonderful product. Purchase at your own risk.

I’ve been curious about beef tallow as a moisturizer, so I was excited to try this out. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for me. The texture was thicker and chunkier than I expected, which made it tough to apply, especially when you’re fresh out of the shower and trying to get ready fast. It took a few hours to mostly absorb, and in the meantime, my skin felt greasy and uncomfortable. I didn't like that it also attracted bugs (gnats and flies) so I threw it away since I already deal with being a mosquito magnet and didn't want to deal with having to attract gnats and flies on top of mosquitoes.

And for me, this is one of them. I have to admit, I was caught off guard when I first applied the balm to my very dry hands. Yew, it smelled like Thai fish sauce (which I hate), and it was ridiculously greasy. Even after waiting, I had zero hope the grease would subside, so I grabbed a cotton T-shirt and blotted my hands to shake off the oily feeling. Minutes later, I had the softest hands I’ve ever had (and mind you, I have worker’s hands haha). The scent shifted from Thai fish sauce to butter (which I love haha). Next, I tested it on my heels (mind you again, it’s worker’s heels haha), threw on some socks, called it a night, and woke up the next morning thinking, “Okay, not bad.” But after a couple of days of using it, “not bad” is an understatement. It’s actually really, really good. The best part? I only use a little each time, so I know this jar will last. So yeah, I’m recommending this 5-star balm. At the time of review, the list price is $29.99. I’d even go for 6 stars if they’d throw in a little discount lol.

I've tried quite a few beef tallow moisturizer products. Since they have gone viral the market has been flooded with lots of different options. Body restore stands out from the crowd for the following reasons: - It's from a reputable U.S. company that also produces other health/skin care products. Contrast this with the numerous off shore brands with names you can't pronounce and no way to know what's actually in the product. - Truly free of any added scents. - It's whipped, so it's a bit easier to apply than the balm variety. I've found that whipped beef tallow creams tend to be greasy and take longer to fully absorb than balm. Body Restore has decent absorption for a whipped tallow and after absorbing, my skin feels moisturized to the touch without any greasy residue (a problem I've found with some whipped tallows). Overall, Body Restore is a solid choice if you're looking to try beef tallow but don't know which brand to trust. It is slightly more pricey than many of the Chinese alternatives, but the extra cost comes with quality assurance.

This is a nice beef tallow moisturizer that feels very moisturizing on your skin. It has a soft chocolatey smell from the cocoa butter that's different from other tallow creams I have used. It also has some added ingredients like jojoba seed oil and oat kernel flour. Beef tallow tends to make me break out if I apply it to my face, so I use this exclusively on my dry areas like hands, heels, and elbows. I would order this again because my skin feels a lot more hydrated after using it

Not my absolute favourite tallow product, because I do like a little bit of pleasant fragrance for my moisturizers (even though this one doesn't smell bad, per se—just not wonderful). But I will say that it's not as gritty as I thought it would be, and it moisturizes wonderfully. You really don't need a whole lot; in this regard, the slight greasiness of the product ensures that it goes a long way. I think it'll be at least a couple of months if not more before the jar empties. I've just started using, but am looking forward to the results!

This beef tallow feels so good on my face. It helps with my dry skin, but it's not necessarily a moisturizer, or at least doesn't feel like one but it does something for my dry skin. Quality is good, comes in a glass container with a plastic, screw on lid. I will say, the scent is funny. I wouldn't say it is unscented as it smells a little like french fries. But I do like the product so I will continue using it anyways.
