Love the consistency of this beef tallow. It’s super moisturizing but not greasy

This is the second Whipped Beef Tallow I have tried by Body Restore. This one is the Orange Grapefruit Citrus Scented version of their whipped Beef Tallow. The texture is a bit heavier and greasier right out of the bottle than other Beef Tallow skin care I have tried. Like a whipped Body Butter consistency and weight. A little goes a long way. Warm a tiny amount by rubbing between the palms of your hand and then apply to dry areas such as elbows, heels and knees, dry hands. It takes a minute or two to be absorbed then leaves the skin hydrated with a slight water resistance. The scent is a soft orange forward citrus that is pleasant but not too strong. The bottle I received was only filled to about an inch below the bottom of the area with the screw on plastic cap. When I checked to see if this product is packed by weight or volume I found a notation on the box that it is packaged "for Body Restore". I also noted that it states that the ingredients are globally sourced, no mention of where the tallow is sourced from. It is important to me that all animal products are USA/USDA raised and sourced product. The inner seal was in tact but had not adhered all along the rim. No spillage, but I like my skin care products to come well sealed to ensure the integrity and freshness of the product. Despite a few issues I like this product and find that it's a good value at the current prices.

This balm worked very well for my dry and sensitive skin. It does have a smell due to the essential oils but I haven't found that it irritates my skin. It absorbs well and isn't greasy. I also appreciate that it is made in the USA. I was having issue with a dry patch on my nose that would not go away no matter what I put on it. This product immediately calmed my skin and hydrating the skin on my nose. I apply before bed and haven't had any recurrences.

I was a little skeptical about using beef tallow on my skin, but this stuff blew me away. The whipped texture is light and airy — not greasy at all — and it melts into the skin like butter. Made in the USA! Great quality, rubs in easily and quickly, leaving the skin feeling soft and supple. This once comes mixed in with manuka and jojoba oil, although considering how expensive manuka is, I have some doubts about the quantity in here. Compared to other whips made with beeswax and such, it seems to work about the same, which is fine. Regardless, all of these use natural ingredients which is very important. Box got mangled, but that's fulfillment issue. The container itself arrived perfect. Good size too. Approx 2 year expiration date.

Can we first get over the stigma of men using face product? I live in sunny subtropic climate; during the summer the UV index is often pegged at “11” (the maximum) for many hours. This takes its toll on your face, even as facial product containing sunscreen is a critical part of your daily routine. I also try new product pretty regularly; I have come to realize there isn't a single "right" answer so I should try new things. Who would have thought of Beef Tallow? Whoever did, I wish to thank them!!! I have a BUNCH of Beef Tallow products; and these are my favorite. It is fairly thick as far as facial product; this one spreads over my skin more than absorbing into my skin. You can really tell because I follow with a mineral sunscreen (no SPF so only part of my daytime regime). No fragrance; in this industry that is a rarity (bonus points), but it does contain citrus oil so it isn't scent-free either. I like it enough that I continue to use it, but not enough that I will purchase another jar when I run out.

Tallow creams saved my skin this winter and honestly I can’t imagine going without one nowadays. This cream is one of better ones I’ve tried. It’s made of just few natural ingredients but it’s very effective in providing nourishment and hydration to my skin. It has nice citric smell (grapefruit and orange) and it goes on smoothly and feels great on my skin. I love using it for my hands but it’s also great for elbows, knees and feet care - practically all all body. I don’t use it for my face because it’s a bit heavy for my combo skin and especially with warmer weather but it’s just perfect for everything else.

I've tried quite a few beef tallow moisturizer products. Since they have gone viral the market has been flooded with lots of different options. Body restore stands out from the crowd for the following reasons: - It's from a reputable U.S. company that also produces other health/skin care products. Contrast this with the numerous off shore brands with names you can't pronounce and no way to know what's actually in the product. - It has a nice, natural seeming, scent. Not overpowering in the least. - It's whipped, so it's a bit easier to apply than the balm variety. I've found that whipped beef tallow creams tend to be greasy and take longer to fully absorb than balm. Body Restore has decent absorption for a whipped tallow and after absorbing, my skin feels moisturized to the touch without any greasy residue (a problem I've found with some whipped tallows). Overall, Body Restore is a solid choice if you're looking to try beef tallow but don't know which brand to trust. It is slightly more pricey than many of the Chinese alternatives, but the extra cost comes with quality assurance.

I'm obsessed with beef tallow lately, and am glad that it's become such a viral product, because it has made it much more accessible and affordable. I trust this brand (Body Restore), as they have a bunch of other wellness and self-care products with a ton of really great reviews. I really like how this product is made with 100% grass-fed tallow sourced from the USA (although I'd like to see some actual certifications and/or product sourcing info / product transparency). It's also infused with manuka honey, which is a really nice bonus, since it also helps with dry skin, and is also antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and an antioxidant. Also the SMELL is so good! It's advertised as 'orange grapefruit', and to me it smells like an orange creamsicle! Really love this product, even down to the gorgeous amber glass packaging.

I received the Beef Tallow moisturizer in Citrus scent. The packaging looks nice, however the minute I opened the jar, I noticed that the product was a mess all over inside the jar, almost like the cream warmed up at some point and then got cold again by being probably delivered, or moved around in different temperatures, not sure...anyway, no big deal as it didn't look like it was tampered with as the jar was properly sealed so I felt confident trying it out. Scent--First thing I smelled it and I liked the citrusy scent with fresh but settled citrusy tones of orange and grapefruits, a nice settled scent not overwhelming at all, to me the smell is soft & natural like an essential oil, not perfumy at all, which I like very much. Cream--It says it’s "whipped", well, I personally would say it’s a harder consistency than what whipped cream feels like. I scooped with my finger a pea-sized amount, the feel of the cream feels very rich texture more like a balm, definitely not so much like a whipped cream as described in the title. Application was easy, the rich gliding product dissolves from balmy to creaminess quickly while working it on the skin; however, I was surprised to feel some grittiness in the balm, almost like some exfoliating granules, while applying this to my face, I didn't expect that, but shortly the grittiness disappeared while I was working the product all over my face. Penetration---The rich cream didn't matter how much I worked it into my skin although I felt that it penetrated and moisturized, still on my skin I was feeling and seeing the richness of the moisturizer on my face for about 1 hour or so then slowly I felt that the glistening of the rich moisturizer, along with the feeling of a layer of the moisturizer still there, slowly by night my face felt moisturized still but without that extra layer on the surface and in the morning my face still felt moisturized. In Conclusion, I will suggest this product for more a specific group only--- for Dry to Very Dry skin, and for Very Mature skin, looking for a Balm & Rich product, or for a Rich Night Cream. I had used other tallow cream before, and this surprised me with the richness and the grittiness, plus I am now entering into the warm season and my skin is normal and normal to dry in the winter, so I would be giving this another shot in the cold Canadian winter before going out in the cold weather and when the wood stove and heating are blasting and drying the skin. As for now, this cream will go in the fridge, although I like the scent very much, and another plus is that it contains a lot of organic ingredients It's a plus, unfortunately it is too rich for my face, and too small of a jar to use it really on the body. I want to note that I did not encounter any breakouts or any sensitivity. Scent is truly wonderful - 2 Thumbs Up Moisture lasted until the next morning - 2 Thumbs Up Greasiness/Heaviness - 1 Thumb Down - way too greasy for me

This is my third kind of beef tallow that I've ordered by Body Restore—and there's a reason for that! Excellent quality, very pleasant smell, a little bit gritty but in that nice, exfoliating way. Makes my skin feel absolutely amazing, and a little truly goes a long way. It's a bit greasy but that's to be expected, and it just means that you don't have to use nearly as much as regular moisturizers for optimal coverage. I'm a huge fan!

Love the consistency and scent of this product! It feels great going on my elbows and the citrusy scent is not overpowering, just the right amount! I get very dry knuckles and cuticles in the winter and look forward to using this product then. Like that it is all natural and can imagine that it will help. Right now used it in my elbows, they can always use some help in getting more moisturized. Tallow is naturally a greasy product, but the whipping makes it much easier to absorb into the skin. Elbows feel great after just a couple of minutes of running it in.
