I’ve been fluoride-free for over 5 years now after researching the long-term effects of fluoride and learning about safer alternatives for strengthening teeth. That’s what originally led me to using nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste, like they use in Japan, where fluoride isn’t commonly added to water or toothpaste. Boka toothpaste caught my attention because it uses nano-hydroxyapatite, the same ingredient that’s been trusted in Japan for decades to remineralize and strengthen enamel naturally. It’s designed to help rebuild the surface of your teeth while being gentle, non-toxic, and perfect for people like me with sensitive teeth. I'm going to set this at an initial 5 star review but, I will come back with an update in about two weeks. Today was my first day using this. I went with the cinnamon and absolutely love the flavor. It's not overwhelming like a lot of artificial cinnamon things instead it's nice and mild with a light cinnamon flavor. It's a nice change from "regular" toothpaste so far because it foams up enough to let you know it's there but, it doesn't foam so much it fills your mouth. My teeth feel nice and smooth and breath is nice and cinnamony after I'm done. I'm beginning the nano Hydroxyapatite journey in hopes of helping with my sensitivity. So, keep an eye out for an update and I'll let y'all know if it helps in that area and anything else I notice that differs from the fluoride stuff.

Mild taste, non-foaming, easy and pleasant to use. I place a lot of importance on ingredients. You should heavily evaluate your daily-use products for suspect ingredients. I have found this toothpaste to have generally safe and good ingredients while also tasting good and remaining effective. A surprisingly tough combination of characteristics to find in a body product. Taste is so mild that my daughter (10 yo) actually enjoys using it as well. She also likes the watermelon flavor. I like this toothpaste for travel because the tube is durable and of just the right size to be TSA friendly. I am almost through my first tube, and don't think it has had a significant whitening effect, although I did not take before/after pictures. I wish they had one with a stronger mint flavor, but that's not a deal-breaker for me.

I’m actually shocked at how good this toothpaste is for my sensitivity. I’ve been a long time sensodyne user, and recently, it seemed like my sensitivity maybe got worse, or the sensodyne doesn’t work as well. I found Boka online, and decided to give it a shot since some reviewers felt this way, and that it really helped. I’m so glad I have this a shot. It’s so much better than all the different sensodyne toothpastes I’ve tried. Also, I was just at the dentist for a cleaning, and he said that my teeth are perfectly healthy, even without the fluoride. I wasn’t really looking so much for a fluoride alternative, but I’m for sure a believer in Nano hydroxyapatite now. And my teeth even look whiter! I also read recently that extended use of stannous fluoride can stain your teeth, so this is another win for Boka. I like that the ingredients are natural and non toxic, the flavor is really nice, and I’ve even gone so far as to go on their website and buy their toothbrush and mouthwash. It’s also interesting to me that after having a cleaning with “traditional” dentist cleaning products, my sensitivity was horrible, almost like the paste they use just set me back to where I was before I started using this. I will definitely purchase again, and recommend this to others.

Really nice toothpaste that has a unique feel and finish to it. Fresh taste with the mint. There’s a nice clean enamel feel when you are done using it and not having to spit every bit out of your mouth and clean out with water is nice as it helps this product clean and protect the enamel more if you do not rinse. I like the no flouride personally and find that it’s a gentler toothpaste that cleans effectively especially after you are consistent with it. You will notice enamel improvement and color over time.

I’m allergic to mint so was excited to find an alternative to the fennel toothpaste I’ve been using for ages. Unfortunately, the white cranberry ingredients make it cloyingly sweet, not only in taste, but also in smell; every time I open my medicine cabinet, the smell wafts out, reminding me of the flavour. I would much rather it have the tartness of cranberries, which is what I thought it would be. I’d also rather have no flavour at all. Obviously, I can’t return it, once used, so I’ll have to continue with it. Otherwise, I’m throwing a LOT of money down the drain. Very disappointed, to say the least.

I’ve been using the Boka Nano-Hydroxyapatite toothpaste for a while now, and I have to say, I really like it. I wanted a fluoride-free option that still does a good job, and this one has been great. The Ela Mint flavor is super refreshing—not overpowering, just nice and clean. I’ve heard the Orange Cream flavor is good too, so I’ll probably give that a try next. The biggest win for me is how gentle it is. My teeth are pretty sensitive, and this has been such a relief to use. My teeth feel smoother, look a bit whiter, and my gums feel healthier too. It’s nice knowing it helps with remineralization, which you don’t always get with fluoride-free toothpaste. Yeah, it’s a bit pricier than your usual toothpaste, but honestly, it feels worth it. I think of it as an investment in my teeth. If you’re curious or on the fence, I’d say give it a shot—I’ve been really happy with it.
