Pros- -fairly sturdy (Hard plastic) -portable/space saver -reasonably priced - semi-lightweight -thoughtful engineering Cons -flimsily wobbles when inadvertently maneuvering (not a swivel chair) lol. -no back support of any kind -no padding -no storage case/sleve (would have been nice, maybe get creative and make one yourself) Side note- it would have been great to also have had a way to lock the mechanism in place a little better. Perhaps incorporate a button on the side to lock/unlock the bench when in the folded stored state. Much like how a clip to a pistol pulls out when the button is held down but locks when put back in. Good stuff, cheers!

UPDATE: The chair's still going strong. My mom got a similar one and loves it too. It's nice to watch people haul up all their folding chairs with such effort, then we just untwist these things and sit down. :D I bought this on impulse because a camping YouTuber I watch had one. The way he pulled out this chair, expanded it, and sat on it within the span of 2 seconds impressed me very much. Now that I own the chair, I can say it's just as impressive in person. I've used many camp chairs in my time and it's often hard for me to trust them enough to sit in them. A lot of them have awful engineering... but NOT this one! It's solid through and through. Pull it open, twist a bit clockwise to ensure all the sections lock open, and then when you're done using it, twist a bit counterclockwise to make it collapse. You might be thinking "What if I turn my body counterclockwise as I sit? Will it make the chair collapse?" No - the catch design has a slot to prevent this from happening. You have to pull AND rotate to make the chair open & close. "Well OK then, what if I lift this up and move it? I hear things moving when I do that, will it undo the catches?" Well, this can happen, but I have to lift it up pretty sharply to cause it, and the spring inside the chair will instantly collapse the affected sections. You can expand or collapse as many sections as you want to make the height you want. So even if I pulled it up sharply, then sat right back down on it, the chair might get shorter as I swung it in midair, but that would be the only difference. It does NOT accidentally collapse or make any errant movement when I sit on it, at least for me. I haven't weighed myself in years but I'm probably 170-180 pounds. Overall this chair is a great convenience and comfort. I got a square-shaped one and I think the extra dollar of cost is worth it. I use it around the yard for when I have to get down to pick berries, and it's also good in spaces that are too cramped for a regular chair. If you pad the top, you can even use it like a stadium seat or one of those wearable ground cushions that hunters use. (EDIT: I am also now using it as a part of my portable workout setup, and it makes a lot more exercise forms possible.) Top marks and full recommendations from me :)

I found it works great at work to reach upper areas and is solid to stand on. Makes a great seat to sit on when no chairs are available. I like the color and style. I bought the square top one. It’s very lightweight and the size is perfect for my needs.Time will tell if it’s worth the money, so far it’s been working great. I use it five days a week.

We bought these stools specifically for when we have to stand in line for over an hour at free movie screenings, and they’ve been a game-changer! They’re super sturdy, easy to open and close, and lightweight enough to carry without hassle. We’ve gotten a lot of use out of them already. One tip: definitely buy a seat cushion to go with them — after sitting for a while, your butt will thank you. Overall, this is a solid purchase for anyone needing portable seating on the go!

I am a tuba player, and recently had to play in a concert that required me to walk some distance from my car to the venue. Since neither chairs nor music stands were going to be provided, I needed to schlep tuba, music stand and a chair all that distance; not practical. I ended up doing without the chair, and had to stand while holding the tuba for the hour of the concert. I was thinking how great it would be to have a collapsible chair, or a stool, that would take up minimum space when not used, and be easy to carry. There are lots of small folding stools available, but I judged them too large, too difficult to carry very far. A search of Amazon turned up the product pictured in my photos, the “Boreeman Upgraded Folding Stool Lightweight Yet More Sturdy with Load Capacity 400lbs”. This stool extends up to about 17.75 inches high, a pretty normal sitting height. When collapsed, it is only 2.5 inches. It can be set for intermediate heights. It has a nylon-web strap for a carrying handle, and a shoulder strap of the same nylon material that stows when not needed, by wrapping around the collapsed stool and secured with Velcro. The seat of the stool is just under 10 inches diameter, and I find that is adequate for my needs. Of great importance, the stool is rated to hold 400 pounds. The stool opens and closes by grabbing finger holes at each end and using your arms like playing an accordion. When pulled open to full extension, a slight twist unlocks it to allow collapsing for transport and/or storage. The stool comes in a wide variety of colors, and seems to be sturdily made. A caveat from the manufacturer: this stool is not designed to be used on sloping ground. If the slope the stool is placed on is too steep, the stool might not hold its full rated weight. They recommend careful test-sitting, or pressing down hard, before committing to sitting down in those situations.

Great for taking short breaks at a convention. Very durable and is pretty light! Just don’t sit on it all day bc you’ll bruise your tailbone

The Boreeman Upgraded Folding Stool has quickly gone from "nice to have" to "can't live without" in my daily life. Whether it’s camping weekends, outdoor concerts, or even just needing a quick seat while working in the garden, this stool delivers in ways I didn’t expect. Strength Meets Smart Design: First off, don’t let the compact size fool you. This thing is rock solid. Thanks to Boreeman’s upgraded structural design, it easily holds full adult weight without any wobble. I was amazed at how secure it feels, even on slightly uneven ground. The way it folds out with a simple twist motion and locks into place is smooth and incredibly satisfying. True Portability: It’s super lightweight, and the built-in adjustable strap means I can just sling it over my shoulder and forget it’s there until I need it. It’s smaller than a frisbee when collapsed — perfect for tossing into the car, backpack, or even a tote bag. Adjustable for Comfort: One thing I love is that you can adjust the height depending on what you need. Whether I’m resting during a hike or using it as a mini table for gear setup, it's incredibly versatile. Durability That Lasts: After months of use (and a few accidental drops), it still looks and works like new. The materials are high quality and weather-resistant — no weird creaking or bending after repeated use. Final Thoughts: The Boreeman Upgraded Folding Stool proves that brilliant design doesn't need to be complicated. It’s tough, it’s portable, it’s convenient — honestly, it’s the sidekick you didn’t know you needed. If you spend any time outdoors, travel, or just want a reliable "anywhere" seat, do yourself a favor and grab one. You’ll wonder how you ever lived without it!

Bought as a shower stool while I'm on crutches for a couple weeks. Literally just use it to sit on for 10 minutes a day. After a week of use, the thing broke while I was sitting on it. Fortunately didn't hurt myself but definitely no what I expected. I thought the product was really cool and I would use it for the range and camping but not anymore!

My stool does not extend to it's fullest extension as there are 2 parts that do not extend. I have tried multiple times but it just will not fully open. I am very disappointed as I need this for medical reasons
