Great for my camper van. This refrigerator/freezer works well and maintains temperature perfectly. It uses about 34 watts when running on 12v in eco mode with the small side set at 0° and the larger side set at 37°. The size is exactly as noted in the listing. It’s easy to move around since there are wheels and a telescoping handle. It’s lightweight enough for me to easily lift in and out of my van even if it’s full. The cutting board inside the large compartment is a nice addition as well as the bottle opener and usb port on the outside. I did not buy the additional battery, but instead use my own power station to run it. This unit is an excellent value for the money.

After thorough research, I decided to purchase the BougeRV 12 Volt Car Refrigerator/Freezer (Dual Zone, 45L) on September 18, 2024. The unit arrived on time on September 30, and I waited 13 hours before powering it on to ensure proper functioning. During initial testing, I used Max mode, and the unit quickly reached 13°F within 24 hours, maintaining a steady range between 12°F and 13°F. On October 4, I placed room-temperature bottles of water and coconut water in the freezer. Within 24 hours, they were frozen solid, despite not being pre-frozen. The unit’s performance was excellent, with temperatures fluctuating between 5°F and 13°F. On October 6, I switched the left side to refrigerator mode (34°F) while keeping the right side in freezer mode (5°F). It held these settings consistently. Later, I tested freezing homemade apple juice, water, and coconut water at different settings (20°F and 5°F), and while they became slushy over 24 hours, I expect full freezing to occur as it did before. I’ve been running the unit 24/7, and in terms of power consumption, my Jackery 290 powered the refrigerator in Max mode for 4 to 5 hours with no issues. I have used the ZOUPW 100-Watt Portable Solar Panel it does not work with the BougeRV 12 Volt Car Refrigerator/Freezer in terms of power. I am going to rely on the Jackery for power consumption while away from home. And I plan to try the app control feature soon. One downside is that the unit scratches easily, so I recommend being careful when placing items on top. I believe a protective cover should be place on top of the unit if you don't want scratches. Overall, I’m highly satisfied with the BougeRV 12 Volt Car Refrigerator and would recommend it to others, especially after seeing several members of my survival group show interest in purchasing one. The customer service from BougeRV was excellent—responsive, courteous, and prompt. Both BougeRV and Amazon exceeded my expectations with fast response times and thorough communication. If you're considering this product, do your research to fit your needs. However, I do feel confident in recommending this refrigerator/freezer for its performance and the excellent support I’ve received.

Got cold really fast. From 70F to 14F for the freezer(small compartment) and from 70F to 38F fridge(big compartment) in about an hour using the outlet power adapter. The setting was 0F and 35F, respectively, on max setting. I placed few room air drinks to get cold. After 12 hours, the drinks are very cold. I left a frozen peas in the freezer compartment to see if it can keep it frozen, and it did. Bluetooth connectivity is great. No issue connecting. I am only giving it 4 star because i haven't used it yet on a trip. I doing a 3 days overland trip to Mojave desert next week. Update coming soon! Update! It ran great using my Jackery 300. It's best to use the 12 volt in the Jackery vs using the outlet. Kept my ice cream and my food frozen, and my drinks nice and cold for 3 days. It was great!!!

APP Control: Freezer IS NOT blue tooth enable and CANNOT be connected to your smart device. This was a primary reason I purchased the freezer. (This is first reason I took away 1 star) Temperature: The temperature gauge on the freezer varies while empty between 3 to 10 degree on the side panel. It is not consistent. The temperature inside the freezer never dropped to the set temperature I choose with the plus / minus buttons on the panel. (This is second reason I took away 1 star) Side Panel Instructions: Nice to have since the app control is not available. Weight: It is heavy while empty but having the both shorter handle and long extendable handle helps to pick up freezer Extendable Handle: I am 5ft 9in tall I am always concerned about handles and if they will be long enough that I don't have to bend down. I can stand straight up and pull freezer easily My original requirements were I wanted a freezer/cooler that I could plug up with car lighter or AC/DC, not use ice, connected to app, easy to use, and keeps a consistent temperature ( +/- 5 degrees - wouldnt expect it to be perfect). I havent used it with food in it and traveling yet. Lets see if it holds up to my expectations. I might change my mind about not having ability to update temperature with app and update the rating Update 5/14/24 I am updating my review the seller was kind enough to reach out to me about my concerns. Temperature: Once you have product in the cooler it does regulate its temperature within 3. I had fruits and veggies set at 40 degrees. I wanted them cold but wanted to make sure they didnt freeze and ruin the lettuce I was carrying. Cooler held temperature really well during 8 hour drive. I forget to plug in the cooler on the return trip I had significantly less food in cooler and veggies stayed cold and I was able to return to house refrigerator and eat perfectly good veggies. Yeah!!! App Control: Seller sent me a link to video to get connect to the app. I will say the written instructions say connect to the app (but it doesn't tell you the app name). By default you would think the app name would be Bouge or something with the company name in it. Well its NOT If you are trying to connect look for CARFRIDGEFREEZER at least in the IOS store. Once I knew the correct app, I was able to connect and adjust the temperature via the app. Yeah again. 4 stars for working pretty good so will be using it alot this summer for day trips and extended trips. remove 1 star for poorly written instructions. But overall I like the cooler/freezer and its functionality. Customer Service: if I could I would give you 1/2 of a star for your help but I cant. I hope this helps others and gets BougeRV to update their instruction manual so others dont run into same problem

llevo dos equipos, el de 35 y el de 45L, los dos muy bien muy confiables, estables y con su funda termica tabajan super bien, los he usado en viajes cortos, con su bateria (se vende por separado) y bien 2 o 3 dias de viaje, el de 45L si esta grande y si lo recomiendo mas para viajes largos por que aparte esta pesado

Bought this unit on sale for about $365 canadian for use at our remote off grid camp. Have historically used a propane/electric refrigerator (usually on propane) but figured id give a 12v cooler a try.. This thing works awesome. It gets cold in no time, uses a fraction of the energy that the old propane electric fridge used when it ran on ac power and my 12v solar system is more than sufficient to keep up with it. And no more propane! The dual zone works as expected, it freezes solid and overall its plenty large for a family of 4 for a week. No complaints other than the temperature seem to be about 5 degrees celsius warmer than the display.. no big deal though, i just set it 5 degrees colder and all is well. When away from camp i leave it plugged in on eco mode via 12v adapter so even though im not inverting power thru the solar system I can still have the cooler running. So far its been 2 months of continuous use without any issues. Considering a new propane fridge costs around $3000 cdn, this thing is a no brainer for what we needed. I wish i woulda bought one of these years ago.

I normally dont participate in reviews, but this product definatly deserves one. As a trucker that can not always stop where food is available, this is a game changer as opposed to using a cooler. Coolers only cool a few degrees below ambient temperatures, but this fridge/freezer works amazing. Firstly it arrived 4 days ahead of schedule. Secondly it works well beyond my expectations. The app quickly connected to the fridge and it so easy to use. The unit is very quiet, but efficient. Test run, after about 45 min my test bottle half full of water in the freezer side was starting to crystalize. In the first 30 min of being plugged in it went from +10C down to set temp of -17C in the freezer side and fridge side was down to set temp super quick. Totally recommend this BougeRv product, you wont regret it.

Initially I was excited about this unit... It chills and freezes nicely .. but the door latch has broken with very little use.. its my second time and has been ipenes about 20 times in total. There is not contacting the seller in here to get a replacement door.. no parts available... And 30 day refund policy by Amazon is garbage... I would look for a better quality unit

I am impressed with this fridge. I tested it for a week in my living room as I was going on a 4 week road trip to Alaska and I didn't want a lemon. It was quiet, 45 db at 24 inches. It cooled quickly and kept ice cream solid at all times. It comes with baskets on both sides. I hooked it up to my ECOFLOW Portable Power Station RIVER 2 Max, 512Wh and it ran flawlessly (in my kitchen) for 12 hrs before I decided to unplug it at 8% remaining on the ecoflow meter. I would not recommend purchasing the cover for this cooler. I did and it was just 1/2 an inch too small to zip it up. I had to return it. Why does BougeRV make the cooler and cover in BLACK? If this was left in the sun, it would defeat the whole purpose of the unit
