I would suggest that yes, you should. I get where Braun is coming from by developing the easiest and most friction-free process for cleaning its high-end electric shavers, even with the negatives of higher cost and greater waste. The bottom line is that these things are actually better than most of the options that involve refilling cartridges with dedicated shaver cleaning liquid or powders added to isopropyl alcohol. What’s better about them? They’re made from ethanol rather than isopropyl, which is gentler on the plastics used in the shaver and the cleaning station. The ethanol-based Braun cleaning liquid evaporates better/faster than isopropyl. They have lubricant as part of the formula so there’s no need to clean and then oil the blade cassette. The convenience factor is meaningfully better with the cartridges. The cost of cartridges isn’t actually much different than the cost of other (fussier) options if you buy these things in bulk. (Frugality tip: if you pull the cartridge out and put the cover back on and then reinstall and do the cleaning cycle once per week, the cartridges don’t evaporate and will last a lot longer, especially if you brush off the cassette before running the cleaning cycle. You may only need one cartridge every six months or so.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Granted, using six cartridges per year rather than one cartridge case and a couple of plastic alcohol bottles for refilling may be slightly more wasteful; but again, only slightly. And I think that there are other higher-gain ways to reduce waste than to not use shaver cleaning cartridges 😊 So all in all, I suggest that you live a little and consider going for the small luxury of Braun’s shaver cleaning cartridges.

Works as advertised...I do mix in some alcohol to make it freeze-proof

Amazon is pretty much the only place I can find this cleaning solution. The smell in size are the same that comes from the factory so I know this is a genuine product. If you did find it in the stores it would be a two pack and you would more than likely pay the same price you would for this six pack. You are getting a great deal on this 6 pack

Came in a timely manner and packaged well. Husband uses them and has no complaints.
