I’ve tried a lot of electric shavers over the years, but this one truly stands out. It delivers an impressively close shave that rivals a traditional razor, but without any of the hassle—or the razor burn. Even on sensitive skin, it glides effortlessly and leaves my face smooth without any redness or irritation. What I love most is how quick and easy it is to use, especially on busy mornings. The design is ergonomic and the battery life is excellent, so it’s reliable and convenient. I was honestly surprised at how close the shave was for an electric model, and the comfort level is unbeatable. I've owned several Braun electric shavers but never invested in the higher-up models like this one. I finally decided to treat myself, and I'm glad I did. Like any shaver, there is a break-in period, so don't expect the best shave of your life the first couple times you use this, but after a week of use, my face got used to it and now it provides the closest, most comfortable shave I've ever experienced with an electric. I don't even need to use any pre-shave products. I can hop out of the shower, dry off my face and shave smoothly without any irritation. This is the first Braun unit I've owned where (with a couple exceptions) I get a good shave on a single pass. The exceptions are a couple of stubborn spots around my jaw line, but that's to be expected. It's nice not to have to go over the same areas repeatedly which can lead to irritation. I was especially eager to try a shaver with a cleaning/charging station, and this really contributes to the overall value despite the higher price tag of this model. I will say, the first time I ran the cleaning process, when I removed the shaver from the base an hour later, it was still pretty wet with the solution. However, this seemed to have been a one-time thing, because I've been using the base every two days for the past month or so and it has worked flawlessly every time since. I love the fresh, clean scent the cleaning solution leaves behind, and it also lubricates the foils just enough for a smooth shave without excessive oiliness. I've been removing the shave head, dumping out the excess hair and cleaning the inside of the shaver with a brush as I've read this helps ensure a good, thorough cleaning and prevent hair from building up and clogging the base. I haven't had the opportunity to travel with my new Braun yet, but I think the smart case that charges the shaver is a stroke of genius and I can't wait to try it. I have a business trip coming up in a few weeks so I'll get a chance to bring my new shaver along with me. It'll be great not to need to bring the charging cable, or charge it up before leaving and hope you have enough juice to last you the trip. The case should provide ample power for the four days I'll be on my trip. Overall, if you've been buying the cheaper Braun models or using other inexpensive electric shavers and you're thinking of upgrading, this model is well worth considering. I'm extremely pleased with mine!

I shave dry, right before jumping in the shower, and it consistently delivers an ultra-close, smooth shave with zero irritation—no bumps, redness, or stragglers. The charging travel case is a major win, eliminating the need to pack an extra charger on trips. Compared to my previous trimmer, which struggled after just 2–3 days of growth, the Braun handles 4+ days effortlessly. The shaver part is great, the charger is great. The wet/dry issue is great and cleaning is easy. My issue is it doesnt cut longer hair well so if you dont shave daily you need to use the little flip up piece which sucks. It's like a centimeter long and really doesn't work well. Have to go over an area like a dozen times and I still get a secondary razor out to fix what it missed. In general this is a really good razor but for $200+ they really need to fix that last piece so it cuts the neck and under the jaw better with longer hairs. That part is crap.

So far so good. Previously owned a top of the line Philips rotary blade shaver which stopped charging. It lasted around 4 or so years. I was initially going to buy another Philips unit but decided to do some research and see what other options were out there. After a couple of months of research I narrowed it down to the Braun Series 9 Pro 9477cc, the Panasonic Arc5 or Arc6 and the Philips S9000 Prestige. The travel charging case is what sold me on the Braun. I’ve used it three times since I bought it. Twice on my face and once on my head. Very happy with the closeness of the shave and how quickly it got the job done. Each shave was with 2 days stubble which is quite coarse. I was concerned with the switch to foils whether this would cause me any discomfort. I’m pleased to say this is mot the case. It’s a very comfortable shave albeit much noisier than my previous shaver. The instructions are just illustrations. If I’m paying for your best product I expect much better. This would probably be my only gripe so far though.

I have gradually moved up through the Braun Series of electric shavers and I’ve finally found the ultimate shaver, the 9 Pro. It is so gentle on the skin while being incredibly effective at cutting stubborn hairs in 1 pass. No need to spend time on multiple passes for a single hair when 1 pass will do. Even without a shaving foam, my face is so soft and smooth after shaving.

This is the best Shaver I have use so far, like with everthing else, you get what you pay for. Very sturdy, well built. Gives the close shave of A razor blade, but without the irritation. Leaves skin feeling smooth and comfortable. If you are looking to replace your razor blade, this will definitely do the job, pays for itself overtime, not like those cheap ones that's all hype, and don't do the job. If you are looking to save, you can try a earlier model, but it's a very great product, you will not be disappointed if you invest in it.
