I purchased my BRAUN SERIES7 on a sale of this year, for $119.99. I had to replace my model series 6, which was no longer functional. The cleaner unit helps quite a bit, and gives a very fine close shave. It can be used wet or dry, but I just use a preshave, to shave dry. The cleaner unit seems to keep the electric shaver, quite clean and sharp. The body of the shaver is very comfortable in my hand, which is true of all the Braun shavers that I have owned. This also makes the job of shaving, very pleasent. The beard and mustashe trimmer, work very well and are easy, to interchange the heads. If you are looking for a new comfortable, reliable shaver, you cannot go wrong, with the Braun Series 7 and cleaner.

What I liked about this shaver was that I got a good close shave assuming i had not skipped a day shaving. The shaver does not handle 2 days of facial hair growth well. I bought an inexpensive triple head philips rotary shaver that will cut down 2 days+ of facial hair and would use the Braun then to give me a really good close shave. The Philips does not give a really close shave but cuts down long hair very well compared to the Braun Series 7. If you shave every day, you may find this shaver works fine. If you are someone with really fast growing facial hair, this also might not be a great choice. I suspect that shaver design forces a company to optimize a limited set of hair conditions and you have to decide on what is important to you and what you can live with for weaknesses when picking a shaver. I liked how easy it was to clean this out and the fact it is not sensitive to water if used in the shower. I used blade oil on the blades every time i cleaned it and that seems to have kept the blades very sharp. I never used the automatic cleaning system that came with this shaver as I suspected that approach with water and no oil might shorten the blade

I’ve been using the Braun Series 7 electric shaver, and it’s completely transformed my shaving experience. I love that it works both wet and dry, so I can choose whether to use it in the shower or for a quick, dry shave. This Series 7 shaver compliments my series 7 beard trimmer for my goatee. I used to use a series 3 for the longest then got a series 5 but returned it to get this series 7 and I think it’s a better shaver than a series 3 but not much more than a series 5 unless your face contours demand the 360 maneuverability of a Series 7. The series 7 is a bargain compared to a series 9 and basically does the same things with free of movement of the shaving head. You will not be disappointed with this shaver. My neck feels dec with less irritation and I use it wet with shaving cream for less irritation ( gel). My series 3 use to leave some prickly stubble behind. Does any shaver cut better than a Fusion 5 old fashioned three razor blade razor, NO, but an electric razor eliminates nicks and cuts and irritation.

Upgraded from a 5 year old Series 6 and this is night and day better. Slim design, great battery and attachments. So efficient I can shave in 3 or 4 minutes and it's not far off a wet razer shave closeness. The Dock is well designed compared to my old one that had connection problems. I hope this lasts another 5 years!

I guess shaver preference is a personal choice. But for me, I feel this provide the cleanest and least irritation among the different types of shavers I’ve tried (namely Gillette Shavers, and Philips rotary shavers)

Might be the contour of my neck but seems to do a bad job of getting the neck area. Overall it’s fine considering I had a decent deal on Black Friday.

I loved this new product. Bought to Singapore. But couple months in the battery seems to be dead or there is an issue with the connection inside. There is no way i can get this repaired here as it is not sold here despite buying from Amazon SG. And I have no idea how to contact the actual seller in amazon because it is sold via Amazon US (according to Amazon). Braun itself also gave me 0 help. So, buyer beware!1
