This 54mm dosing funnel is one of those small accessories that makes a big difference, especially if you're using a Breville Barista or Bambino machine. Functionality: It snaps perfectly onto the portafilter and stays in place while you dose and distribute your grounds. It prevents coffee from spilling over the sides, which used to be a regular mess on my counter. This is a great funnel by Breville if your espresso machine didn’t come with one. You just click it onto your portal filter and the grinds never come out. It also makes it much easier to tamp down your grind before brewing. I actually found out about this on one of bravo’s barista videos…. Great product, which keeps my barista experience from becoming too messy!

We use our Breville machine daily and this little piece is a must have for keeping the area clean. We bought our machine a while back and it didn’t include this piece. I heard that the newer machines purchased now do include it by default. When grinding no grinds are spilled into the lower compartment which keeps it cleaner for much longer. Highly recommend.

While this funnel was meant for use with espresso machines that had integrated grinders, I still could use it, albeit manually, with my Breville burr grinder. It sure made it a lot easier and much less messier to to collect ground coffee from the grinder. I do recommend it.
