This was just the right size for the Breville Bambino portafilter, and it's much more sturdy than the plastic tamper that came with the espresso maker. I was a bit surprised that there was a visible chip out of the plastic on the back side of the tamper head, but it has not impeded the operation of the tool one bit. We have used this to make a lot of hot shots.
