When I saw this set I jumped on it because it hit all the marks for my wife and I. The block looks great, the knives are very well made and are quite sharp. What you get for the price is hard to beat, because it has all the items that you need without going overboard and including things that you don't. Which makes it the perfect size for a couple empty nesters like us! If you are looking for a good quality set will last a long time, look no further than this set - you'll be happy you got it.

Got these the other day to be a spare set in the downstairs bar area and they have served well so far. Plenty sharp at the beginning and looks to have a 20 degree edge. Have not tried to put in the dishwasher so I cannot comment on how resistant the steel is to rust in that regard. I also have no idea what grade of stainless this would be, but I'm guessing it is not S30V or 440 based on the price point. The grip is shaped well for my hands and, oh by the way, these are solid all the way through meaning the blade, tang, and handle are all the same material. I have good control with wet hands though someone with smaller hands might find the handle slick when wet. The block has some nice insets for the knives and the sharpener is ok for a couple quick passes prior to use. Overall, I would call this a decent beginner set to just have something usable.

Stunning knife set. High visual appeal and fantastic quality knives each with its own special place in the block fitting nice and snug. This set has a knife for every situation from slicing a loaf of crusty bread to chopping up veggies to slicing meat +. Knives are sturdy, durable and ultra sharp. I love the handles as they allow you a comfortable grip and complete control. Sleek, handsome, modern meet high quality, functionality and practically making this set a no brainer for today’s home kitchen. Packaged very securely but please be careful when handling as it would be easy to cut oneself while getting them unwrapped for block placement. Threw my old knife set away immediately upon getting this set up and on my kitchen counter…bout time I joined the modern world and put to rest my cold, dull, broken ended antique knives. They were an eyesore and dangerous. Sharpener is built into the wooden knife block…genius!

Are these of a highest quality? Obviously not. A high quality individual knife will cost more, sometimes considerably so, than this entire set. This is a high-value, low-cost set of cutlery that will do the job, as long as you're not intending to impress anyone with your fantastic new kitchen cutlery set. It's serviceable, it's cheap, and it gets the job done at a rock-bottom price. For what it is, what it does, and what it costs: Five Stars I am the Totally Unbiased Reviewer Dude (T.U.R.D.) and that is how I see it.

This set is a mixed bag. The knives on one hand, are perfectly ok. Nothing great, but perfectly usable out of the box with a decent edge and what appear to be solid handles with a good weight to them. The finish on the knives is uniform and I didn't find any defects. The knife block on the other hand, is a mess. Very thin, unevenly applied stain, bare wood on the bottom, numerous scratches, chips, and rough spots. The top of the block is especially bad, very uneven stain application and chips and abrasions around the knife slots. Just really shoddy looking. Charging $99.99 for this set is a joke. Paying the $60 it costs with the current coupon is still borderline insulting. This is a $35-40 set at best, and tbh the block is unacceptable unless it was sold used at a thrift store, since it certainly does not look new or finished. The three stars I'm giving is strictly based on the knives.

Love these knives. They are all made of metal which makes me happy. The knives are well balanced which make cutting so much easier. With this knife set you have it all style, function, steak knives and a built in knife sharpener. I would suggest hand washing the knives if you want to have them stay in pristine condition.
