While we are far from the pinnacles of health when it comes to our dietary choices, we do not own a fryer because it's been one small thing we omit to pretend we're somewhat healthy. One of my coworkers has been raving about her air fryer, and I just didn't think we'd have much use for it. That all changed when my mom found one of those "buy a suspiciously large bag of chicken wings for an exceptionally low price" deals. We read a lot of reviews, chose this one, and gave it a try. It had a slight plastic odor to it, but it went away after a quick wipe down and a wash of the basket and tray. I initially threw in 5 frozen chicken wings to get a sense of how it worked. About 22 minutes later, we had these exceptionally juicy-on-the-inside but crispy-on-the-outside chicken wings. They were delightful! Batch #2 was a single layer of chicken wings, but I packed it full. That batch needed closer to 26 minutes on 390, turning twice in between, and they came out just as well as the first batch did. I decided to push it a little further for Batch #3, and I filled the bin up with wings. That batch took over 30 minutes to cook, but with a few solid shakes here and there, everything still got delightfully crispy. We were surprised at how much chicken fat collected under the tray. This is a good thing, because that meant we weren't eating it. We let the fat solidify a bit, gave it a good wipe, and threw it in the dishwasher for a good wash. We used it again the following night to toast a few different types of bread, and those all came out well too. Since we live in the Northern US, I can see us using this primarily as a fryer substitute or in the heat of summer. For the winter months, we'll probably stick to the oven because we don't mind the heat, and we can keep some counter space open too. All-in-all, I recommend it and am glad we finally got one. Give it a try!

I bought this less expensive and non-digital version of the Chefman Airfryer, half the cost. I didn't want to spend much money on something I didn't know if I would like or use much. I did buy the large family size because I didn't want to be limited by what I could put in it, and it's a good size. I can fit a round 8" cake pan in it if I want to make a little cake of casserole for myself without heating up the house with the oven in the summer. I also bought parchment papers but I don't really think they are necessary for this particular style of airfryer because the bottom isn't mesh and food doesn't get stuck. It is a removable teflon coated bottom with holes in it that allow the air to circulate. This model isn't complicated to use, it has like an egg time you set and a temperature dial. That's it. It would be easy for most anyone to use. You can make everything in it that would go either in an oven or fryer, as long as it fits. Food doesn't have to be in a single layer either, to cook right. It's a simple and very good way to make small meals. Also, for snacks or side dishes. So far I have made frozen sweet potato french fries, tater tots, vegetable egg rolls and a grilled cheese sandwich, with no oil except for some coconut oil spread on the bread for the sandwich. No, the timer doesn't pause when you open the food drawer, and if the food is finished before the time is up I just leave the basket slightly ajar (the machine turns off when the drawer is open) to start cooling down and the timer shuts off when ready. Clean up is super easy, hot soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. I recommend this same model to others, it's worth it.

We found out that our parents' oven burned out and they refused to repair or replace it because they didn't need it. They had been using two Toaster Ovens for a while, so we bought them this (we had the small unit and loved it for reheating foods). They LOVE their large unit with the dial control. It's easy for them to use, and bit enough to cook a whole chicken. They're back to eating a bunch of stuff they stopped cooking because it didn't fit in their toaster oven, and they're thrilled. We then upgraded our smaller Chefman to the large digital one, and we love it too. I'd still like to get their actual oven fixed for them, but they insist against it. I'm glad *I'M* not stubborn like they are :)

I had been looking for a new air fryer for a few months now and finally bought this chefman 6.8 as the Power air fryer that I had for 3 years died. It arrived at my door on Nov. 13, 2019, and today is Nov. 17, 2019, have used it to cook a whole 7-pound chicken, veggies, burgers, fries, steak, and pork chops with them all turning out fantastic. The best part is it did not require any oil and clean up was a breeze. Great selection of temps up to 400 and time setting up to 60 minutes and the auto shut off are fantastic features. WILL RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE BUYING AN AIR FRYER. One other thing buy the large one as you will be like others I have talked to that have went with the smaller one and then wished they had bought the bigger one.

Delivery was prompt and the packaging was solid, so no damage on arrival. This product is easy to use and is pretty well made. The rubber bumpers tend to come off of the plate in the bottom of the basket, but are easy to put back on and I don't think it would matter if they were missing. This is my first air fryer, and I wanted something that was easy, fast and big enough to do fries for the whole family, and this fulfills all of that.

The Chefman digital air fryer is very easy to use and clean. The basket and rack are dishwasher safe. This fryer makes amazing crispy chicken wings without oil (just one little spray of Pam). The 6.5 litre is a good size. We can cook about 20 wings at one time. Highly recommend.
