I bought this set to replace tools that were stolen. I spent a lifetime collecting tools and could not afford to replace them all at once. I had a pile of USA Craftsman that were well worn but still in their prime. The new craftsman tools are made in Taiwan but apparently under strict quality control. I have put these new tools through their paces (farm equipment repair) and no failures or real complaints. I do wish the 1/2 inch sockets were 6 point instead of 12, but I have not had any slip or round any bolts. The wrenches when measured are well within specs and grab well. This kit is particularly nice in the fact that you're not paying for a lot of fillers (driver bits and allen wrenches). The ratchets are smooth and have a small arc curve to work in confined spaces. I would definitely buy again.

For the money this is a great tool set. I bought it to set up a roll around toolbox. Exactly what I needed.

I picked this up on sale for $199.99, already had a portable kit but for the price this was a great option to deck out my roll away and keep my portable set as is. The total piece count is great, you really don't end up with too many "garbage" tools. My main complaint would be that the allen wrenches are duplicated for metric and SAE, a long set and a short set. Would have preferred just the long set and an alternative like more sockets, wrenches, adapters, etc. Again though, the price is really unbeatable for what you get and if you have the older craftsman ratchets, these are a nice upgrade as the tooth count is more. The tools come in 4 separate trays, each with indentations for the tools with labeling and a clear cover. They fit right into your standard roll away drawers which is nice and the covers are kind of nice to keep the dirt and debris out if you leave the drawer open or take the entire tray out of the roll away.

The trays are not heavy duty, even a bit flimsy, but they didn't get broken in shipping and did fit my older Craftsman toolbox correctly.

I think this set is a good 70% of what I need for basic repairs. Everything seems to be decent quality for craftsman, which is not guaranteed quality anymore, but it's okay. My main complaint would be that the plastic trays are very flimsy, meaning this is not a very good mobile set. I paid $200 for this set, and I think it was a great deal. I've used it many times since then. I'm not necessarily sure I would pay the $325 to $350 price that I see it at sometimes.

Traditional Craftsman quality, lifetime warranty and a good price. The price has increased a bit since I purchased in Sept. '22, but these prices do fluctuate. This is a great set with an excellent variety of tools. I've had mostly Craftsman hand tools since the early 1970's and they have always served me well. We looked around at many different brands and sets before choosing this set for my 16-year-old son who started in the Auto tech program in high school this fall. He loves the set and I feel it's an excellent mechanic's starter set. All you really need to add is a five or six pliers and a good set of screwdrivers. So under $300 for the whole shebang.

Best set hands down offered especially for the price. It covers everything you will need to do 90% of the jobs on a vehicle. Build quality is top notch and if something fails you can go to a local lowes and swap it out no questions asked.

I have been needing tools for a long time. I love these, now I can do so many things around the house that I couldn't before. I would recommend Craftsman tools for everyone who needs to work around the house and everywhere else.
