I used this to "rehydrate" the window rubber seal around my truck driver/passenger windows. They started rolling up and down very slowly. I thought it was the window motors since the truck is 20+ years old but after replacing the motors, it was still slow. Some forums suggested spraying the rubber seals around the side windows with this spray. It WORKED! I sprayed a good amount on the inside edge of the window seals on both side windows, let it sit for about an hour, and then the windows rolled up and down, good as new. I did this one time two years ago. I still have the can in my truck just in case but haven't needed to spray the windows seals again. I could have saved the cost and effort of replacing the window motors if I had known to try this first!

This stuff works wonders!! Where WD-40 isn't enough or wears off too quickly, this stuff sticks it out and does the job great!

Being heavy duty, I thought it would thicker to better hold to the part I was lubricating. Probably works OK but was disappointed with how it ran down the item.

CRC Heavy Duty Silicone Lubricant does exactly what it promises—and then some. I've used it on everything from door hinges and window tracks to rubber seals and plastic parts. It sprays on easily, dries quickly, and leaves a smooth, non-sticky finish that really lasts. It doesn't attract dust or grime like some other lubricants, and it's safe on a wide variety of materials. Whether for home, auto, or general maintenance, this is a reliable product to keep on hand. Highly recommended!

Over time, I have found that this CRC seems to have more actual silicone content (or at least silicone effect) than other 'silicone sprays.' Haven't done an actual chemical analysis, but real-life performance seems to be better. I keep a can of this on hand for all kinds of household lubrication where I want slip without residual traces of oil or grease. Sliding door tracks, door hinge pins, and the wrappings of the weed-whacker line to name a few. I am cautious around certain materials based on the propellants, but have never encountered a problem. I also spray it on the rubber bellows / boots of the CV (Constant Velocity) axles on my vehicles to keep them supple / avoiding cracking. While I have it in hand, I also give a squirt to any other rubber part I find (but staying clear of brakes and drive belts). Spray on thin rag and wipe on door weather seals to also keep them supple and avoid ice binding during winter sleet storms. I see that CRC has increased the family of these Heavy Duty Silicone sprays -- Marine, High Temperature, Package Shoots. I need to see what more I might be able to make use of.
