Omg! Best find ever got this I think during prime days so I got it a bit on sale, but it's worth the money! Perfect rice every time! Don't have to worry about timing or boiling over. Does the job for you. Don't have to think about portion math the cooker comes with its own cup and the pot has the water measurements! Often forget about cookers like this? No problem will keep the rice hot and fresh for many hours! Has a timer to help you keep track of its freshness. I have never heard it make noise, except while boiling. Beware when you cook turbo or the water level is higher than the portion usually wants some water with spit out of the steam hole. Just cover with paper towels and keep cooking. It has never once stuck to the pot easy serving directly from the pot and very aromatic rice! Parts separate easily and can be cleaned before next use. Love this machine! It lives on our counter now it deserves to be used often.

This is it! Perfect for our family. We have three kids and this beautiful delight is able to keep up. It has so many things that can be cooked with it. I once forgot I made rice and 11 hours later I opened the lid and thanks to the automatic rice warming that turns on as soon as it was done, I still had warm, delicious rice(not burned at all!). This is a miracle for busy family's. The turbo mode really cooks fast without compromising the quality of the food. I LOVE IT!

Have used this rice cooker for about 2 years now and it is wonderful! Easy to use, perfect size for a family of 4 and does great cooking smaller amounts (2-3 cups of uncooked rice). Instructions can be complicated but I have been using the “cook” button only (glutinous rice) and perfect rice every time. Small, compact design does not take up much space when not in use. It has also held up well despite frequent use. Great product for the price! Highly recommend.

Still learning how to use. Definitely need to read manual to understand how to operate the rice cooker. Came nicely safe packaged and easy to setup. Already cooked rice porridge and Japanese rice dish with other ingredients. Still trying to figure out my ratio of water to rice as it’s not the same as I used with my finger method with those OLD one push 20 min rice cookers. My rice is coming out mushy with my old method so will start adding less water vs recipes or the Asian finger measure worked in past. Like the Warm feature and various cook features. And like delayed start. Easy to clean ! So far I’m glad I bought this Korean cuckoo ! Bought as an Amazon 2nd buy. Another $20 off - $50! Makes me want to eat more rice dishes every other week! I’m a Fan

I was curious about rice cookers, and this one was on sale, so I bought it. While some families have used rice cookers for generations, they were new to me. I had always made rice in a pan in on the stove and thought- well, that's as good as it gets. Well- it's not. I have found that it is easier to cook rice with a rice cooker, and the rice tastes better. Somehow it is tender and yet has texture. From now on I will be using a rice cooker to cook rice. One of the things I don't like about this rice cooker, which was also pointed out in a review of rice cookers, is that the measurement indications on the inside of the pot cannot be read. The pan is dark and the measurement indicators are dark, and it would darned near take a flashlight to be able to read them. I bought a rice cooker cookbook that gives the appropriate measurements for all kinds of rice, and will be using that book to guide me. The other thing I didn't like is that there is no steamer basket for this rice cooker. A rice cooker that comes highly recommended and has a steamer basket also costs more than twice what this one does. If you are looking for a rice cooker that is not very expensive and does a good job of cooking various kinds of rice, this rice cooker is an acceptable choice.

I always have rice cookers that die on me before the year is up. I read the reviews on this extensively and now that its in my house - its been cooking the best rice ever. I'm in love. It does everything and then some. Value is great since I also got it on sale - IT'S WORTH THE PRICE!! For the rice i like the cook time takes almost an hour compared to the cheap rice cookers but if it means perfect rice eveytime then I'm game. Its size is perfect for the counter and the color is gorgeous. This machine is just amazing. Best rice cooker.

Great product. easy to use and it makes the perfect rice every time. I previously only used super cheap rice cookers and I had to learn them, i.e. know where to fill the water above or below the actual line. this one is perfect as is.

Let me preface this with I eat a lot of rice. I also have worked in a Japanese restaurants. I've been around these cookers a lot. Pending on how much rice you make or how many people you're cooking for. You may want a smaller rice cooker. I generally cook at least four cups or more at a time saving the extra to make something else later or meal prep for the week. For value I'd say it's great, this performs as well as some of the one's I've used for restaurants and it's pretty simple until you get to some of the advanced settings. It's easy to clean and the color matches the pictures. It does still take a bit to make your rice so I generally start it first, granted I rinse and presoak my rice.

Model: Cuckoo CR-0655F We've never been successful at cooking stove-top rice, nomatter the brand or type (not counting the pouches of ready to heat microwave rice). Our very first try, made a batch of nearly perfect rice. Not mushy, not crunchy, just wee bit firm but quite edible. Our second try, and every batch afterwards - literally perfect Asian restaurant quality cooked rice! Only required rinsing the rice a bit longer and adding water to just wee bit - 1 or 2 line thickness above the water fill line. Yeah, it was that simple. Comes with an instruction book, measuring cup, and rice paddle. The inner pot water fill line is notched into the metal, so there's no marking paint to wear off over time, and as long as you have some light in the kitchen, preferably near the kitchen sink, the fill lines are easy to see. You must use the provided measuring cup for measuring rice, be sure for 1 cup, fill rice directly to the top cup lip, and use the paddle handle to "level off" the rice for perfect measurement. Same as you would if measuring ingredients for other recipes that call for precise amounts ( not "heaping full" ) The measuring cup does have some measurements on it, also engraved into the plastic, they may be hard to read at times, but sofar we're just using it for per 1 measuring cup or rice for 2-cup batches at a time. The rice cooker is very simple maintenance with few removable parts: The inner bowl, inner lid, steam cap, and water collection cup are all removable parts of the rice cooker, for ease of use hand-washing and drying. - Inner bowl is non-stick. Once cooled off, a quick wipe wish dishcloth, or bit of soap and water to clean the little bit of flaked starchy residue. - The inner top plate is very easy to remove, a spring loaded lever, and the plate simply comes out, no force needed. Simply wipe with dry or wet dishcloth, or run under tap then wipe to dry. - The Steam cap on the top lid pulls out very easily, and unscrewes - top half, inner removable rubber ring, and bottom half. Simple twist action to assemble or disasemble. - The water collection cup at the back of the unit simply slots in and is seated, no effort to remove or replace. Controls are very simple and easy to use. Digital display is easy to read. Setting the clock is fairly straight forward, press and hold either of the buttons for Hour and Minute as the instruction manual says to. The buttons have both English and Korean/Chinese? languages printed in white lettering. Display is in English, may be possible to change display to other languages. The rice cooker by default is set to Glutenous (white) rice, so its simple just plug in, add rice, water, and press the cook button. The rice-cooker once finished automatically switches to keep-warm mode, and will keep your rice ready to serve for hours on end. If you prefer to keep it plugged in, and need to clean it, you'll want to hit the Cancel button to shut it off. The display is also battery powered and keeps the cooking settings progress, very handy if you live in an area that is prone to or has frequent power outages. (In comparison we have a different brand digital slow cooker that is absolutely useless to set and forget for overnight or during the work day cooking, if the power blips for a second or is out for any length of time it resets to "off" mode.) There's several different modes including Turbo (quick mode), brown, mixed, porridge, baby food, Gaba (brown rice) etc,. Instructions have both English and either Chinese or Korean printing on opposite pages. The instructions are very well written, does not feel like anything was auto-translated over to English. The instructions are straight forward, they show a simple illustration of the measuring cup of rice - correct and incorrect examples. Instructions cover all the main modes of rice and mixed ingredients cooking, and provide a couple mixed-mode cooking instructions for other foods. It lists 35-50 minutes for rice cooking time, for us doing a 2 cup uncooked / 4 cup cooked batch took approx 35 minutes on the non-turbo mode. Haven't tried larger 4-6 cup batches or the Turbo function. This is our first rice cooker, and very impressed with the results, and finally can enjoy home cooked perfect rice. Also - go to the company's website, they have a large selection of different easy to make recipes to try! Recipes are sorted by rice cooker, pressure cooker, etc. If you sign up on their website, register your model of rice cooker they'll supposedly send you alerts for other specials as well as possible replacement parts when they may be due needing replacement - which is a very nice and thoughtful service, being able to say order a replacement bowl or other parts years down the road means extending the life and investment of your rice cooker. The only oddity is the question of size to price point - this is the 6 cup rice cooker, bought for $124.99, and there's a 3 cup model - identical design for a much higher regular price (or just over $100 when on sale). Not sure why the smaller model is actually more expensive. We went with the 6 cup model as it was cheaper at the time, and it never hurts having a larger capacity for if/when you need it and to try cooking other meals with it. No regrets, and we highly recommend the CR-0655F model.

No warning that the product has Korean specifications. I was unable to use it. I further purchased an expensive transformer, and even with that, the rice cooker did not work. It is now an expensive ornament on my shelf ! Do not buy from this supplier ! Rating should be zero but unable.
